I went the last night the restaurant was open. The owners are retiring and selling the business. Hopefully, someone will buy it soon. It is a nice place in a small town.

Everything was awesome for our first visit there. The food and atmosphere were great. We came in on a bustling weekend night, so service was a bit slow, but servers were friendly and kept drinks full until we received our food.

The food was fresh and all homemade. Hand breaded chicken fried steak, onion rings, fish and all fresh! I was able to get a mixed drink with my food as well. Great place! I love the food and I will definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through

After days of freezing weather we had an opportunity to take a drive to relieve our cabin fever. I had heard of this restaurant in a very small east Texas town. We took the back roads and arrived about 4:00 p.m. We were going to have an appetizer then drive to another restaurant back toward home. The owner and crew at 7th Street were so nice we decided to stay for our meal. The atmosphere here is old downtown store front. There are all kinds of eclectic memorabilia on the walls. Now for the food. It was very good and well presented. The drinks were cold and kept full. The service was friendly and attentive. We had burgers and jalapeno poppers. It was an hour drive but we will be back. The main take a way is that the wait staff was the very best! One more reaso we sought it out is that there was a TV movie staring James Garner shot in this small town.

Great place, love the atmosphere and food! They offer local live music on the weekend, and crawfish (in season)

Stopped here on a whim and so glad we did!! The exterior is unassuming but the atmosphere inside is great! We both got burgers which were on point. The jalapeno poppers (got to choose cream cheese or naho cheese) were great and so were the onion rings. The service was top notch. The prices were appropriate. 10/10 would recommend and we WILL be back to try other food. I have a feeling that anything here will be fantastic!!

Had Fish and shrimp on Friday, great service, friendly staff and clean tasting fish. Even the sides were awesome. Especially the beans! Best tasting beans I’ve had in along time. Can’t wait till it gets a bit cooler out cause I’ll stop by for just some of those beans and cornbread. Y’all are doing it right!

The attitude of the new female owner and her staff lost our business. We will not be returning to the facility. We arrived at 7:15. Order was taken around 7:25. We received some of our food around 8:45. My dinner had not arrived and I watched the server panic as she forgot what I had even ordered. She had to come ask me then she frantically went to the computer to enter it. About 10 mins later my fried fish had yet to arrive. I asked the server to just cancel the order as it was not even in the window being plated. My sis in law ordered a veggie platter. She got items she didn't order and her potato was so underdone that you could not stick a fork in it. Her salad was also never delivered even with multiple reminders to the waitress that she was missing it. The bartender was so intoxicated that she was falling down the stairs. Several servers were also struggling with some sort of intoxication. It was heart breaking and a major liability to this business. When we were in the process of checking out, the waitress argued that my plate was "presented" to me. The owner/manager decided to continue to ask over and over if it had been "presented" to me at the table. I repeatedly told her it was not. She was hesitant to void the charge because she said they already had made it in the back and I had "refused" the dinner. I was watching the window before I even requested it be canceled after it had been ordered for almost 2 hours. Our drinks stayed empty even with the owner/manager swishing around the restaurant "managing". The poor leadership and the attitude of the staff have made it an easy decision for us not to return. Not one time did management nor the wait staff apologize. They just stated over and over that it was busy and got an attitude. I miss the old 7th street.

Our first but not last time in the area and at a time when expectations are low, the very late lunch was provided by an exceptional staff (not just one) with an incredibly friendly attitude. Oh yes, the food was also absolutely excellent. The portions were awesome and the deserts topped off a wonderful eating experience. Keep it up, we will be back!

Too many employees are on methamphetamine and it's sad....I am in deep prayer for the town....I'm glad I moved away...7th street had high standards years ago...simply drug testing employees could save them from themselves...sorry to post but everyone knows in town...

Visited a friend and ate here. I had the chicken fried chicken with fried okra and corn nuggets. Everyone else had the unlimited fried catfish/shrimp. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Sorry, no photos this time.
