Pueblo Alegre Authentic Mexican Food

This was a quaint little place that is family owned. The service was great. The food was decent. I thought the chicken enchilada was really good. I didn’t necessarily like the meat on the crispy beef taco and the taco was a little soggy. The beans and rice were really good. Chips and salsa were decent. Wouldn’t he hesitate to go back but I might not order a taco.

The food was quite good, the service WAS NOT. I do not need a waitress who thinks it is funny to go back and forth like a simple-minded child pulling my plate back and forth, teasing about "Do you want this . . . or not . . . do you want this or not. . . " Over and over again. She did the same thing with the menus.

How stupid can you be? I don't need to be teased over whether you are going to give me a menu, much less my food. GROW UP! This is totally inexcusable for any waitress to behave.

Was the food good? Absolutely. Will I ever come back after the way the waitress acted? NOT A CHANCE. Will I spread the good word about how good the good was? Not a chance but I will talk loudly and often about the service. Absolutely.

well worth the drive from Paris TX. we love the food and the people here are so friendly with great service.

The food was sub-par at best. The service was pretty good. We had a big group with multiple tables. I had the taco salad and was not pleased at all. Others that had the enchiladas said they were very good.

Best place for amazing food. Everything I have tried has been outstanding. Been making a 3 hour trip for over 4 years a few times a year for this visit.

Ordered a chicken enchilada with sour cream sauce. This is what I got. Did you even cook it? No beans, no rice, just a raw looking blob floating in a watery sauce. I don't even know what this is.

Very authentic Mexican food. Exactly what I'm used to getting in Baja California Mexico. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating.

The worst thing I've ever eaten!! The meat is super tough, the food is poorly prepared and reheated in the microwave. I don't know who told these people they knew how to cook.! Avoid going to this place if you want not to get sick!

This place is not a restaurant I would send anyone to eat. I ordered fish tacos. The tortilla was deep fried. The menu does not say deep fried tortilla. I wanted to eat healthier. Frying the tortilla throws that out the window. Dragging the manager argued with me. She tried to force me into paying for a plate I did not eat. Very poor customer service. I drove 7 hours to visit my daughters and this is where I took them to eat. Bad choice. Then the manager started adding charges to my bill. Trying to reach the total of what the fish Taco plate would have been. Charged me 4% of my total bill.
