We drive from Eastland to De Leon every chance we get to eat here! Great service, always clean, and awesome tasty food! Everything on the buffet is delicious EVERYTIME! We especially love the fried catfish! If you are near or around Hiway 6 Cafe in De Leon, i extremely highly recommend you give it a shot!! Did i mention always delicious?!🤤 yummy 😋
My sister and I ate there after we went to a medical appointment. The service was excellent as well as the grilled chicken salads that we ordered. The tea was also really good- I had asked for extra ice and the waitress fixed my iced tea perfectly. We will definitely dine there again when we are visiting De Leon.
Had the hunters breakfast and the 1 egg breakfast and split it between 2 of us with tones of food left over. Everything was fresh and hot and the pancakes and biscuits were fluffy. This place has just jumped to the top of our breakfast list. Bacon, ham, sausage and eggs cooked to perfection.
Great little lunch buffet. Service was quick and friendly. If you're running down hwy 6 you gotta stop in.

I’ve been to this café a few times since it’s the only breakfast spot in De Leon, and the food has usually been good. But today I was served a spoiled steak. After one bite I had to spit it out—it was extremely sour. The smell was so strong, like garbage, that my husband could smell it across the table. When he picked up the steak to check, he nearly gagged.
I honestly can’t understand how something with such a strong odor ever made it out of the kitchen, let alone onto a skillet. If food smells that bad, it’s clearly unsafe and should never be served. The waitress did apologize and I ordered a different meal, but by then both my husband and I had lost our appetites and we got our meals to go. I’m just hoping I don’t get sick.
I wasn’t charged for the steak, but it was still a very unsettling experience—especially with the bill still coming out to $37.

Stopped in for lunch on a work trip. Service was perfect and the food was also. Salad bar + soup stole the show. Great little hole in the wall spot.

Food was awful. Over medium eggs were more like a hard boiled egg, ham & hash browns were old tasting. Fries & steak fingers tasted like old grease. Gravy was yucky.
Never offered any refills. Waited about ten minutes after covering food with napkin for check, never brought so went up front to check out. Wasn't crowded.just total lack of caring about the service.

Awsome buffet
I recently visited it and it seems to me that it had better food before, but it is still a better option than stopping at Allsup's😅👍
