Hands-down, the worst chicken express I’ve ever gotten in my life. It was absolutely disgusting. I had to throw it away. I’m gonna have to go somewhere else and eat now because the food was so terrible and I typically love chicken express it was just this location sucks. I think the only solution is to fire everybody. Something is terribly wrong here. Food shouldn’t be this awful.

We spent $80.71. We got no extras and I asked for one honey mustard. The cashier told me it will be an extra $0.50. And would not budge. Very diaapointed not coming back to the Decatur Chicken Express .

The tea is so watered down. It is like drinking sugar water. I’ve never had good food or service. And to think they are opening a new store in Bridgeport operating by the same people. Absolutely horrible service, food, drinks. I couldn’t even get a senior discount. They don’t honor anything for discounts. Go to Bush’s in Bridgeport. Or order from door dash.
Been a while since I've been to this location. Gave it another try & my chicken was so hard & tough I couldn't eat it. Roll was hard. Not happy with this visit at all. Costs too much & had to throw it away.

I went in this store on Sunday night to get chicken because my husband has been in hospital.The young girl took my order she was very nice but after she took my order some younger men came in .I stood there never got my order but they got there's finally I said where is my order and the young girl apologized to me because they never fixed my order.She fixed it for me and she was the cashier. I am a different race and they singled me out and fixed the other orders and I had a small order for my husband.I new they had singled me out. After I got my order the mashed pot.were brown and cold and the orkra was dark and old. I spoke to alot of people back at the hospital and they said it is a terrible place to eat.I have never ever treated people like I was treated by the manager and she new I had ordered food. It's like they were not going to fix it and they did not until I said something.i have never looked at people like the mgm.treated me .tonight. Will not be back and will not recommend that store at all.

I was only going to be back in Texas for a week. I happen to really enjoy chicken livers. OF COURSE I had to revisit Chicken Express! It's not just the chicken - they (famously!!) also have great iced tea. If the cup of tea was any bigger, it would have a diving board!
Yeah, you can't go the Texas and miss Chicken Express.

I’d like to express my dissatisfaction with my recent visit to the Chicken Express location in Decatur on the evening of October 8.
According to the store’s Google listing, I was under the impression that the location closed at 10:00 PM. However, when we arrived at 8:20 PM (as shown on order #2035), an employee was already stacking chairs. This gave the impression that the staff wanted us to leave, rather than enjoy the meal we had paid for while taking a much-needed break from our travels.
Additionally, there were no chicken tenders available when we placed our order, so we had to wait approximately 10 minutes for fresh ones. While I understand that delays happen, not having tenders ready — especially with customers still in the lobby and the drive-thru operating — felt poorly managed.
We’ve visited several Chicken Express locations because my son enjoys the food. Unfortunately, the tenders we received during this visit were extremely greasy — to the point that oil pooled in the bottom of my Styrofoam plate. This is not something I’ve experienced at any other location.
Finally, as we were leaving, I went to refill my iced tea, only to find that the dispenser had already been dismantled for cleaning and was covered in soapy water. While I appreciate that cleaning is necessary, it was surprising that the dispensers weren’t available until the store officially closed. Fortunately, one employee was kind enough to find a jug and refill my cup.
Overall, this visit was disappointing, and the issues we encountered seemed preventable with better preparation and customer service. I hope management will take this feedback into consideration to help improve the experience for future guests.

This is probably one of the cleanest spots ever. Girl named Hollan I believe was cleaning the soda machine and I mean cleaning it with a que tip. I was so impressed you would be amazed at the places I have been that I just won't drink out of soda fountain. Good job hiring her Chicken Express......

This is the WORST operated Chicken Express I have ever dealt with!! They leave food out of orders and refuse to do anything about it. Manager will argue with customers and do nothing to make the customer happy!!!
First, after ordering $55 of food I drive and pick it up before the storm hits.
I’m missing a family side item, so I called the store to see if they would just credit that extra side item so I wouldn’t have to drive all the way back up there in the RAIN!!
They said NO and refused to put the manager on the phone.
So I drive back up there, and as soon as I walk in they offer what I ask for on the phone, prior to driving.
I said no, I’m here now, give me the mashed potatoes.
I had to actually ARGUE with the employee and MANAGER to FORCE them to give me my side item!!
Now my dinner is freaking COLD!!!
I get to eat what is LEFT from the family meal I just paid $55 for!!!
This manager ruined my dinner and now I’m too mad even eat!!!!
