I'm not sure what happened today but this was the WORST two meals I've ever purchased at Acapulco's. Date 09.26.2024 @ 1:45 pm.
We've enjoyed going to and eating food at this Acapulco for over 25 years, however, lately the taste of their food has changed drastically. Today's chicken fried steak was not seasoned and partially cooked (rushed). The lima beans were burnt. The green bean casserole seemed to have been made from the week's leftover food materials. Green beans, mushroom soup, with shredded cheese tossed on top. This was like something my 8 year old nephew would make.
The beef tip plate has no onions, no seasoning, just cooked beef and inseasoned gravy.
Yes, I'm a bit irritated because I count on places like Acapulco to help feed my elderly and I'll family/friends that live in the area a quick BUT WELL COOKED and TASTY meal.
Lately, we have to time it just right (not too early and not too late) to get quality fish dinner on Fridays or Saturday.
This is not the same Acapulco of the past. This makes me sad.
I hope someone in the Acapulco original family managers sees this review and makes the improvements that are needed. This place has loyal customers like myself but we need you to do BETTER please.
My mom comes here EVERY WEEK!! I've joined her a few times and I love the food! The service is always nice. They're prompt and kind. It's very laid back and a nice spot to come to if you just want to chill and have good food. If they ever get alcohol, just margaritas, I'll become a regular too!

Haven't been here in years since I lived in DeSoto. Still have the same great menu, quality food, and super-friendly service! I had the grilled chicken salad. Chicken was a bit overcooked. While my guess is they use canned pineapple instead of fresh to keep costs down, fresh pineapple would kick this dish up a notch! This salad made two meals for me; I took half of it home. Other entrees I saw patrons enjoying looked fresh and delicious. Many locals were dining here during my visit, and the staff were asking if they wanted their "usual." Excellent service in every way!
Parking: Always plenty of parking available.
Kid-friendliness: Family friendly, very casual.
Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant can easily accommodate wheel chairs & rollaters, walkers, etc.
