Today was my first and last time ordering from BEST TEX TACOS & Tamales in Desoto market. The lady seemed bothered that I even stop, the food tastes ok but $5 dollars for one taco ?

A one woman(BLACK woman) show! Making everything from scratch and fresh to order, this is an amazing spot from non vegan to vegan. The vegan tacos were the best! Also if you haven’t tried them Birria Ramen, you missing out fr! Love Tiffany, it’s always a laugh and immaculate food experience, feel like I’m just going to my aunty house.
Seen some of the other reviews and if I do happen to catch her on a off day, I just remember this is a woman making everything from scratch and fresh to order in a starving community with slight foot traffic with the exception of weekends. So from a true customer experience, don’t leave Best Tex out of your next food stop!!

I understand the reviews. I've tried to look over the owners attitude after wanting to try the food for over 5 months. Spend your money everywhere else because it's not worth the attitude you get. If you ask what's popular they're going to say everything it all sales. Keep your money, or else you'll regret it. $25 for a dozen of Tamales!!!??? I'll go without

Best tacos + nachos in Dallas!!! Those egg rolls are everything as well. There isn't anything I've had that I didn't like.

I’ve tried to eat there 3 times and each time it’s been a different excuse. I just left from them because I was told it was going to take an hour to get my food because they are on break. Previously I ordered over the phone and when I arrived to get my food it wasn’t even made. They said it would take 20 mins so I left and before I left home to go get my order I called again to make sure they had it ready and get this…the phone was DISCONNECTED. This place is dead to me and it’s sad because the food looks good

Love their tacos, my favorites are the Shrimp Taco and the Jerk Chicken Tacos. Will definitely have to try their tamales

Went there on 5/17/24 anticipating on trying the Birria Taco's. The lady working there saw me at the counter and asked, "Did I need sumthin'?" I knew right then it was a "Hell Naw" for me. A "Hello" or maybe, "May I help you" would have been professionally nice!" Maybe I was asking too much!? After reading other's Google Reviews regarding the rudeness and food quality,,, I haven't missed anything and glad I didn't waste my dollars there!

I came there for 4 birra tacos, my tacos were very soggy!!! I didn’t get the option to have my sauce on the side or whether I wanted to dip it myself. The tacos were not good due to it being poorly put together. I wanted a refund so bad but I support black owned businesses. Have a blessed day.

The food is good, but the quality of service can be better like cleaning off the paper plates before sending them out, providing utensils & napkins, and draining some of the juice from the tacos. Maybe some hired help would be a good idea.
