This is a response to the Mz A post to the owner. It was not a miscommunication. I read the entire coupon to the lady down to the address on it. She also took a picture of it with her phone and told me I could get it next time. I told her that it was a SANDWICH….and stated i’m buying a 30 dinner with dessert and it says FREE SANDWICH!! I even read the part on how she should scan it on your clover device and she said I never heard of it. I immediately thought, you rather cancel a 30 dollar meal that i’m paying for over 2 pieces of bread and a slice of meat. Customer Service is important and she missed the mark.

I have been her a few times to get lunch. I bought a lunch with a peach cobbler $27.. I typically never spend less than 30 bucks. I drove from work because I received a coupon from the clover app after putting my number in there a few times when I shop there. Coupon states buy a meal and get a sandwich free. The lady refused the coupon and said I would have to use it another time when the owner is there cause she is not familiar with it when the clearly have the clover device on their counter. I prefer good customer service over food any day. So I won’t return. Sad thing is I like supporting small black businesses.

Ordered Ribs, back potato with beef and sausage. Everything was delicious. This is my go to place for these items. I have had the catfish and peach cobbler in the pass. Evans Barbarcue is my go to restaurant going forward. Forgot to take pictures this time. Everything was perfect. I am pickie about my food. I have been ordering from here twice a week.

I'm very disappointed and surprised. I purchased a sliced beef sandwich. My husband pulled off and I opened my sandwich. OMG!! There was barely any meat on it. This is the sandwich I get every time we visited. The sandwich would have enough meat on it to make two sandwiches. But not this time. To make it matters worse wheni bit into it it didn't have that smoky taste. It tasted boiled. This was my first bad experience with the food. I was so disappointed. I had wanted and craved a sliced beef sandwich. Then when I finally received, I couldn't believe it. Evans was my favorite barbecue.

Can’t speak for anyone else but they were so welcoming and had a family owned vibe to the place. Super generous and gave me samples but even the samples were so good I had to order a whole plate. Great little desoto gem and if you’ve been waiting for a sign to try it, this is it!
Having lived in many states, by far best ribs and sauce. Totally worth it!

Fish, fries & okra cooked to perfection. No seasoning or peppers on any food. Not even salt or pepper. Very bland and nasty. Not even salt or pepper on either piece of food.

Just waited a hour for my stuffed baked potatoes. NO CHEESE , NO SOUR CREAM , NO CHIVE . JUST STUFFED WITH MEAT.

When you walk into Evans, they greet you with hi, how you doing. You don't get that very often other places and it smells like smoke. That's good old smoke barbecue. Smell, this is the best place to get that Hometown feeling and good tasting. Barbecue thank you for being open on mondays
