Love the chicken enchiladas. I'm not in love with the salsa, and you know, the salsa makes the restaurant!

Review of Ojeda's Restaurant:Upon entering Ojeda's Restaurant, I immediately noticed several issues that detracted from the overall experience. Firstly, the lighting in both the entrance and the main dining hall was flickering incessantly, indicating potential electrical issues that should be promptly addressed by the management.Moving on to the food, while it was passable, it left much to be desired in terms of quality and authenticity. For instance, the enchiladas I ordered appeared hastily prepared, with the sauce tasting like generic canned nacho sauce melted down. The lack of authentic seasoning and flavors, coupled with an abundance of artificial ingredients, diminished the overall enjoyment of the dish. While the food may suffice for a quick bite, it falls short of justifying the steep price point charged by the restaurant. Moreover, upon receiving the bill, I was taken aback to find an automatic gratuity tip added to the total. While I have no qualms about tipping for good service, I found it off-putting that the gratuity was imposed without prior notification. Despite leaving a generous cash tip of $10 to my server, I requested to have the automatic gratuity removed, as it exceeded the recommended amount. However, my request was met with resistance from the front desk staff, who appeared visibly annoyed and insisted that the gratuity should remain. In summary, while Ojeda's Restaurant offers passable food and decent service, the glaring issues with lighting, lackluster dishes, and questionable tipping practices leave much to be desired. I would caution against dining here, especially for those seeking an authentic culinary experience.

I am a man of picky tastes. I require only the best to please me. And I tell you in all my years I've not had better Mexican food. They are the best. Eating here was my pleasure. Please go and enjoy them for yourself.

As a San Antonio native I love puffy tacos, I don’t really understand what’s going on in DFW as far as their version of it. It’s more like a mini taco salad which is whatever, it’s never not good. Especially from Ojedas, again, not a taco in my opinion, but still incredibly delicious. But after many times ordering, what inspired me to leave a review was the sopapillas. I’m sad I only ordered one because I could’ve had 100. Phenomenal Tex mex that deserves to be in D magazine.

My family and I like Ojeda’s. Unfortunately, we feel that Ojeda’s doesn’t like us anymore. We ordered the nachos supreme by accident because my daughter wasn’t hungry and she wanted something small. Her order ended up costing as much as my husband’s order who ordered a big plate for an adult. You are going to tell me that 10 chips covered with refried beans and melted cheese, sprinkled with about half an inch of pieces of chicken fajita is going to cost $15 dollars?? That’s ridiculous and very disappointing. We could’ve gotten a better dish at Texas Road House. The waiter was very kind. However, I wish he warned us!
