Good food. Burger basket was good, chicken fried steak excellent, chicken fried chicken is very good. Fried okra is good. Seasoned fries are good. Place gets busy after 5p.m. Overall deserves 5 stars.

The burger was as good as any—including the best in Dallas-Fort Worth, or even the Chuckbox in Tempe, AZ, or Hotel Wolf in Saratoga, WY. Top notch service. We ate near closing time once, and before official opening hours once, and the food and service were amazing.

FS&A all 5 star, the reason for the 4star overall is prices, 2 people $42... Seems a little high to me but honestly the food was too notch diner fare! We both got the Chicken Fried Steak and it was delicious! Carmel Pecan Cheesecake and Buttermilk Pie were amazing....This was our first trip to CJs so pricing was unexpected we usually shoot for under $30 for the two of us.We will go back, I saw CFBLT on the menu (Chicken Fried Bacon, Lettuce, tomato sandwich) I MUST TRY!!!

Breakfast ALL DAY!! Got there prepared to have lunch found out they do breakfast all day so had biscuits w/gravy, eggs,bacon, hash browns and a short stack of pancakes Hubby had the Western Omelette with sausage Everything was delicious and the service was incredible! Can't wait to go back and try the chick fried steak and the CHTBLT- battered fried bacon sandwich It's our new favorite place- a must stop if you find yourself anywhere close to Detroit

THEY SERVE A FANTASTIC BREAKFAST, all day long. We were looking for breakfast around Paris, Cjs online menu did not list breakfast but a battered, deep fried bacon blt sounded good. We went. Soooo glad we did. The place is under new ownership and if our visit is any indication, they will be a smashing success. The sweet young lady who served us was wonderful and the owner came by to verify all was well. Cjs will now be a regular spot for us. We are looking forward trying lunch/dinner as well. Two thumbs up. (Coffee is a very subjective thing, we drink it straight black, we found their coffee to be VERY GOOD, right up our alley.)

Driving from Maryland to Texas and did not want to eat at a fast food chain. Found this cute spot right off of Rt82, in Detroit TX. My open hot roast beef was delish and the cole slaw fresh. Everyone was very friendly and nice. Restroom was spacious and clean. I would definitely go back to support local businesses.
