Not even a cafe anymore and i just didn’t recommend it before hand anyways.
Stopped here while on a drive cross country, treated me well and had great food. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely go to this place.

Nice little place to eat in an almost desolate area. Food was pretty good and service was spot on. There is some seating but if you have a larger party than 4, I suggest ordering ahead of time and picking it up.

Had chicken straps they ran away from me that's how raw they were and the fries are literally completely raw and the coke is old and has no fizz in it
Walked in and got seated right away, but then proceeded to wait over an hour for our food. Not overly crowded or anything. Several groups around us got up and left after waiting 30-45 mines.
Just a silent room of people sitting around looking at each other wishing there was any other restaurant within 30 miles.
Just keep driving.

Do NOT stop here if you are traveling. They did not even have sweet tea or a public restroom. Sign on the door states “NO PUBLIC RESTROOM.” How can you be southern and in Texas if you do not have sweet tea and be hospitable. Southern hospitality is not in this place. Definitely not on Mondays when we went. If you are a local you should be fine. The locals had real glasses. We got to go cups. The place was busy when we went inside. There were more people that came in after us and sit in a separate dining area. EVERYONE before us and after us got their food and we was still sitting waiting on our entrees. All we ordered was 2 lunch specials and a hamburger steak. We sit for over 50 minutes and only received our salads and drinks. We were on a tight schedule and asked the waitress if we could get our plates to go and the cook got soooo mad she basically flung our food in to the to go boxes. And then the waitress got upset when we told her we was on a time crunch and that everyone else got their food and her exact words were “they ordered cheeseburgers and I’m sorry to admit that they are precooked”. The only reason they got a one was because if I didn’t I could not post a review.
Good food. I grew up in the area and always wanted to know why there was always new waitress staff. I found out the owners and the owners daughter are the rudest people you could meet. I also rented the little room behind Cafe and waded in sewer water because they would not fix sewer lines. They talk about everybody else in town about how bad of people they are. I helped fix several things around Cafe and rental without even a thank you. So as long as you are n ice to them and do what they ask you will be ok.
If you're looking for a hometown diner...here ya go, great food an service!

Solid basic breakfast on the highway. Good coffee, nice portions, relatively quick service. Good start to the day

We ordered to-go. I got the burger and chips. No chips. :( The burger tasted good, fresh lettuce and tomato. Hubby had a patty melt. It doesn't come with sauce; it's on texas toast instead of rye. Fries were a bit moist, and greasy. $20 for these (+ iced tea).
Inside the dining area is really unappealing with dusty/crusty fixtures, stained ceiling tiles, rusty/dusty vents. Bathroom was clean.

It's a quaint diner near the highway...great food, and the service was friendly and quick. This has a down home feel to it, which is difficult to find these days
