I had the smothered burrito and was disappointed that the tortillas were store bought, they had an awful after taste. The waitresses were very nice though and the prices are reasonable.

Now this is a Mexican restaurant. Small hole in the wall but local and the food is out of this world, absolutely phenomenal. Can't find a single complaint. We've been here a few times now and everything we've tried has totally hit the spot.

Having a hankering for some Mexican, the name alone drew me into Taqueria Vallarta. It just sounded so...official. Nothing to complain about here, really. Basically your run-of-the-mill Mexican. They definitely cater to the small town, working man. As I arrived, I found the place packed with guys that all looked well worn from the first half of the day on some local farm or jobsite. It was lunchtime, but they still had tables tucked away in the back where I was able to sit and eat. I ordered the grilled chicken - named exactly that on the menu. It was fairly similar to ordering chicken fajitas, and came with tortillas on the side in the same manner. The volume wasn't much, and after the tip I spent just over $10 - a little pricey for the quantity and quality, but I guess that's how things are going these days.. At least the tortilla chips and salsa were free, though I didn't stay long enough to see a refill offered. The salsa has quite the kick, so fair warning.

Simple with nothing fancy, in the best way! You could come here just for the hot and fresh tortillas !!!! The fajitas and enchiladas rocked. If you like a lot of food get two portions, but for the average customer the meal size is just right - and the prices are very good. If you are traveling through the area calling ahead for takeout is quick and easy!

Stopped here for lunch before going to the quilt show. No advance research just decided to stop & we are very happy we did. Everything was delicious & the service was great. We will be back next time we are in town.

Not the greatest Mexican Food I have had. Disappointed after the ratings they have.

Truly a hidden gem in the panhandle. Eat here and don't even question it. I'm in love with the enchiladas.

Delicious food, friendly service. We went for lunch. It was busy but the service was good. The salsa was great. I had the Carne Al Pastor, it was prepared well. I also had the best Horchata I've had in a while.
