Piquins Mexican Restaurant on Dyess Air Force Base, TX is awesome. The food is great, the service is on point and the location is perfect. I can’t recommend any one menu item…they’re all so good! I love the infamous bear burrito with Mexican rice, refried beans, steak, nacho cheese, shredded cheese, lettuce, corn, sour cream, and just a pinch of the habanero sauce (trust me on that one). However, you can’t go wrong with the Allen Fries either. IT’S ALL SO GOOD!! If you work at Dyess, TDY, or just visiting, Piquins is a MUST!

My husband bought me a taco salad today and it was absolutely delectable! Taco salads are a staple from my childhood (growing up in New Mexico) so I tend to be very particular about mine. He got mine with carnitas and everything about it was perfection!! The shell was light and flaky but also firm so it didn’t just disintegrate. The meal itself was large so I will have one or two more meals with the leftovers. I will definitely be back to get more food while we are stationed here!

Food is amazing, if you could ever get lucky enough to get anything. They are only open a few hours a day. I honestly don’t know how this place even makes enough money to stay open.

Fantastic food, slow service, real good atmosphere with music and original Mexican bevs. They’re moving to where the Burger King used to be soon.
