The food here is beyond compare. You have family traditions and recipes that leave you wanting to try everything. The biggest chicken friend steak in Texas is really here. One person cannot finish this meal. It is huge. Definitely a must visit when you come to Eagle
I knew the Chicken Fried Steak was big, but wow! This is not a thin piece of steak either. The batter is so crispy, doesn't slide off the steak, is juicy, and flavorful! The pork ribs were also cooked to perfection and tasted amazing! Definitely will be back!

I realize this place is popular and likely is, possibly because the barbecue is great, but the chicken fried steak? Not so much. Truth is, you need to know that you'll be getting the biggest chicken fried steak in the state, and you're likely not going to finish it. It would have been nice for the staff to give us a heads up, but instead, let us purchase two of these things and with sides cost us close to $60. The chicken fried steak costs $25 with two sides. What ruined the experience was the size of it. To give an idea, two people ate and from the two steaks, my dogs ate steak for 5 days... and I got 5 dogs. I wish the experience would've been better but the steak just wasn't that good. The sides were okay at best. I would recommend the staff suggest sharing a plate when ordering. I say that because it almost seems like the staff gets a kick out of seeing people's reaction to the ridiculous plate. This is just my opinion and my perception, but i genuinely think that had they said something, the first time experience would've been better. Maybe my next time will be better and maybe getting some brisket will change things for me. If you have a family of 4 or 5, try the chicken fried steak (a bit tough with the nerve).

Hats off to kSAT.12 for the recommendation!We ordered at the counter and then chose our own seating. This place had a family friendly feel to it! The decor and wild game wall mounts make this place feel cozy. Let me warn you, the plates have generous portions!! The bbq brisket is so tender and flavorful. And the rib meat falls right off the bone! The green beans are flavored with bacon, butter, and a tiny bit of onion. The charro beans have bits of sausage and chicharrón, giving them a robust flavor. The potato salad has a slight dill flavor, very tasty. And the cream corn, a perfectly sweetened blend of cream cheese and corn. Kudos to this family owned business. This will be our new addition to our Lucky Eagle trips!

THE SERVICE HERE SUCKS!!!!! Especially the short female cashier, Stephanie. We have been here 3 times and EACH time, she has been rude. Rolling her eyes and condescending. You should rethink who is customer facing. That's too bad because the food is delicious. We waited 25 minutes for our food. Very unorganized. The guy that cuts the brisket is very nice... Unfortunately, we will not be back. Three strikes.

It was the first time visiting this place and the employees are very rude in their services. I had ordered lean brisket , and they told me that they had a cut up the regular meat. I told him that wasn't my problem. I ordered lean Brisket and I paid for lean brisket. Got my order, didn't get any plates, Utensils, not even drinks when I had already paid for it seems like the employees were having a bad day. It wasn't even busy. I do not recommend this place bad services rude employees.

Food good long ways to drive and close at 1600??? When showing open till 1800. Second time trying to go and hours are off. Very upsetting drive over 150 miles
