This place is great! The people are friendly and very helpful. I was on a field trip and our students ate here. Enjoyed the food and they were extremely nice when our bus broke down. They helped us as much as possible

This was our first visit and it won't be our last. We were greeted upon entering and told we could sit wherever we liked. The decor was simple and nicely done.Our server Raquel was stellar throughout. Checking on us multiple times, but never hovering over us. I had a small salad to start with. It was cold and fresh. My main meal was chicken fried chicken with baked potato casserole and green beans. The chicken fried chicken was the best I have had anywhere. Crispy on the outside and tender and juicy inside. Both of my sides were fabulous. A sweet roll came with it and was warm and delicious. My husband had barbecue ribs with potato salad and baked beans. He liked all of it. To finish it off, a banana pudding that was exceptionally good. Not heavy on pudding, with more Nilla wafers instead. Our drinks were in large mason jars and we didn't need a refill. It is slightly off of the I-59 in Hungerford, Tx. A must detour if you are southwest of Houston or heading towards Corpus Christi and the Valley. It is also a must for us to return.

Three stars for my hamburger steak. It was a frozen hamburger patty covered in brown gravy with no taste. I will give this establishment another try. I saw their onion rings and chicken fried steak on the way out, and they both looked delicious. 5 star service should easily be 10 stars. I tip good for Great service.

I stopped here by chance while traveling and this place was a nice surprise. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent food even for an Italian like me, honest prices, nice, clean, welcoming environment. Apart from the "American" temperature kept by the air conditioners, which is too low for us Europeans, but this is our problem when we travel to the US. I had a really good time here. I strongly recommend it.
Parking: Easy parking, right in front of the entrance, on the street, when I was there there were plenty of free spaces.
