City Restaurant is a cozy little mom-and-pop spot serving classic American and Mexican comfort food. It’s a seat-yourself kind of place, which adds to the laid-back, neighborhood feel. The salsa is pretty good and definitely worth trying. If you’re really hungry, plan on ordering two burritos—the tortillas are more like a large taco than a traditional burrito. Overall, it’s a simple, welcoming place that feels like a local favorite.
Great service and good food. The staff are very personable, accommodating, and thoughtful. We had our dog and asked if we could have her with us while we sat outside to eat. No problem. The server even asked if she needed water as she'd bring out a small bowl of cool water for her. That's kindness and great Texas hospitality. It is a cute place with lots of seating and fun decor.
I didn't get pictures but the hamburger steak and gravy was amazing as was the burger. Best burger I have had ever. My chocolates cream pie wasn't the best but it wasn't bad.
