Los Machetes is a must try in the RGV. Such a great menu with tlacoyos (blue corn masa), huitlacoche, tinga, pastor, and fajita. Tortillas are made fresh and are incredibly soft for corn. The machete taco itself is delicious with a deep flavor that you don’t find in any other place in the area. Top it all off with fresh, homemade horchata and you are guaranteed to have one of the best culinary experiences in the 956.

This is a great change of pace for Taco Tuesdays. Love the Machete Taco. They are limited on their sides. But tacos are good.

Let's just say I'll definitely be going back to take pictures of the inside of the machete before I eat it!

The machete ambicioso is the way to go 🙌 I cut it and ate in 5 different sections so each bite was an experience.🤤

My only regret was not trying this place sooner...you have to go check it out if you haven't yet. Both the tortilla and the guisos were 💯🔥

Always the best food with the best service.

2. Canibal machete
3. Fajita machete
4. Fresh Lemonade
5. Cold Mexican coke

The place has been open for a long time and for good reason. I'd stop in for just a bowl of pico de gallo if it's all they had. Everything is fresh and delicious.

The food was delicious, piping hot, and authentic! The pozole had amazing flavor! The empanadas were fried and stuffed to perfection. Of course we had to try the famous machetes, and it did not disappoint. Meat was tender and juicy!

It was a salsa and bachata type of night here with an amazing playlist of music. But the star of the show is still their Machetes, it’s what they call their mega taco. Its homemade tortilla was amazing, and held their salsa roja and verde incredibly well. Instantly in my top 3 in the valley, especially for what it is.
For dessert, try their fried plátano (macho) it tastes like a savory pastry, but it’s the best plantain dessert in the valley. Everywhere else undercooks their plantain, but they cook it perfectly here and even dress it like a gansito.
10/10, I’m coming here again soon!

Absolutely fantastic!
This is probably our current favorite place to eat in the McAllen/Edinburg area. It’s a bit of a drive for us, so we don’t eat here as often as we would like to, but every time we do they never disappoint and their flavors are always on point.
