If you live in the RGV and never tried breakfast (or any other meal) for Señor Cactus you are seriously missing out! I have tried everything on the menu and it's all so freaking goooood. And the portions are huge! Never actually been inside the restaurant but I order often from DD. I'm a total foodie and sometimes my ADHD will prioritize everything else over feeding myself. But if I order from this place I have no problem dropping everything and eating very very well....
I had the fajita nachos, and they were not that good. The chips were soggy and tasted stale. My husband had the fajita enchiladas, and he was not a fan of the sauce and the cheese on it. Our server was very friendly and kept checking in on us.
Overall, good food. Unfortunately, sugar is added to nearly everything. Yellow rice is sweet, and the fish tacos are sweet. Many restaurants do this nowadays, which is disappointing.
