Absolutely outstanding! Right from the first impression when you walk in, but when you rould the corner into the main dining area and see the backdrop of the bar,bit will wow you. Cassandragave us amazing service. Helping with drink and good suggestions, but also telling us about the history of the building and the restaurant. It was a tip notch experience all around. Bi would highly recommend checking this place out. I know that the next time we visit the RGV we will most definitely have Side Bar at the top of our list.

Great experience as it was our first time dining there. Cassandra was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the menu and the building and it's past. Mia was fantastic as well and gave us a tour of the place when we arrived.

Great spot every time. Sidebar consistently delivers with excellent food, a welcoming atmosphere, and service that never misses. I’ve been here a few times and the experience is always top-tier. Special shoutout to our waiter, Gabriel, for making the night even better with attentive and friendly service.

This is a Beautiful little restaurant, delicious food and inviting atmosphere. Guillermo is our favorite server, we will be requesting him every time we eat here. The filet minion was delicious. I would definitely get the crème brûlée again. I love every wine I’ve tried here so far, best place to get a glass of wine in town.

10/10 experience at Sidebar tonight. I've been before, but this time was next level. Our server Gabriel gave amazing recommendations (we literally ordered everything he suggested) and had an amazing gastromic experience. The drinks paired well and he informed us of the ways they prepared everything. The Sidebar Signature Lamb (souvid and marinated for 12 hrs) paired with the Oaxaca Old Fashion was phenomenal. We will be back soon.

We’ve been wanting to try Sidebar RGV for a while, and it was the perfect choice for date night. Leslie took amazing care of us from start to finish. The appetizers (tuna tower and empanadas) were absolutely delicious. I had the salmon, my husband had the lamb chops (which he loved), and the risotto was pure perfection. We couldn’t leave without dessert, so we tried the chocolate tres leches… worth every single calorie! Highly recommend.

I celebrated my 47th birthday with my husband at my favorite place, and the evening was truly special, From the moment we were seated. Gabriel made us feel so welcome. He wasn’t just our waiter - he was kind, attentive , and genuinely interested in connecting with us. We shared meaningful conversations and felt respected and cared for throughout the night. Thank you, Gabriel for your warm spirit and for going above and beyond to make my birthday dinner memorable. We truly enjoyed your company and the beautiful service you provided. This is why we will continue to come back excellent service.

The service, ambiance, and cocktails are exceptional here. It’s a unique experience in the RGV and I love it.

I won’t rate them anything less than 5 stars because they are truly a 5 star restaurant. But to my fellow vegetarians, I advise that you call in advance to ensure that they have the vegetarian entree available. My husband and I are vegetarian and were so excited for the vegetarian eggplant. Upon arrival we discovered that it was not available that night. Being parents and having only rare date nights we were pretty disappointed that we would have to pivot plans. Fortunately the chef was able to make a vegetarian pasta and risotto, which was nice, but the uncertainty was a bit stressful. And the risotto was okay, which is understandable considering it was made on short notice. We learned our lesson that we’ll need to call in advance to ensure the entree is available.

With that being said, I’m appreciative that Sidebar even has a vegetarian option on their menu. That’s not easy to find in the RGV

This is the third time visiting this restaurant. I’ve always enjoyed the ambiance and service . I was disappointed with the food today. Ordered a Filet Mignon. Had absolutely no flavor, poorly seasoned, with no sear. One of the worst steaks I’ve ever had. Surprised at the quality given the reputation of Sidebar. The service was amazing as were the cocktail's.

From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were in awe. The decor is absolutely beautiful, which sets the stage for the amazing dishes. Each dish was carefully prepared and truly memorable. We hope to be back soon.
