Fernando was the absolute best!! He took care of us and made sure we had a great night. The live music was a huge plus. We do not drink alcohol, but I was pleasantly surprised by how awesome their non alcoholic drink menu was. We both got steak dishes that were cooked to perfection. Save room for dessert, you won’t be disappointed!

One of the finest dining establishments in the RGV. SideBar brings a different ambience to our region. The food is absolutely spectacular, and the cocktail/wine selection is beyond expectation. I have never felt more welcome at such a high-class establishment. All of the staff, as well as the owner himself are extremely hospitable and I highly recommend SideBar to anyone and everyone in the RGV.

This is the place to come for a date night, anniversaries, meetings. Came here for the first time with my husband as newly wed and enjoyed it so much food great, drinks great and tremendous server Fernando. Class act all the way. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. 10/10.

Staff is under the impression that they are the ones with the money. Snobby attitudes with no problem resolution skills and complete disregard for customer delight. Such a shame because it’s a nice spot. Hosted an event there, ran into some capacity issues (1 person over 20). They offered no reasonable options or accommodations and communicated as if we had committed a crime. After paying our tab, our condensed party walked over to the bar for a drink to once again get turned away for “capacity issues”. I gave the manager an opportunity by asking where we should take our business, he responded by asking if I was from the area, I responded “yes” he proceeded to say “well you should know where to go”. Real gem that guy.
