Came in a little late but had an amazing lunch. Brisket sandwich and a turkey taco. My fiancé had a brisket salad. The mashed potatoes were my absolute favorite side, but the Mac also stood its own. Atmosphere was very welcoming and everyone was so kind. We’ll definitely be coming back all the way from south McAllen!

From the very beginning you notice the years and character this business carries. This mom and pop restaurant strives with almost 30years under their belt and serves smoked bbq and homemade sides and desserts! They offer dine-in, take out, and curbside. Hours range from 11am to 6pm or until they sell out Monday to Saturday. They definitely got something for everyone from stuffed potatoes, giant burritos, tacos, sandwiches, salads, and meat by the pound! Give them the chance to win your stomach and hearts over.

1st time here, hadn't known of this location in Edinburg till we saw posts on the RGV Restauraholics Facebook Group page. This place did not disappoint, employees were so friendly and helpful and the restaurant has a nice, comfortable feel. We ordered the Friday lunch special plate of brisket, chicken, & sausage with rice/bean mix and potato salad. Tried also a brisket baked potato and a chopped brisket sandwich, the BBQ sauce is delicious and complimented nicely with everything. I loved the sweet tea as it always compliments well with BBQ.

I have had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant with my family for a decade now. Notably, it is a female-owned and run business, which is quite admirable. The brisket is remarkably tender and its flavor is enhanced by the out standing sauce. The ribs are incredibly juicy and flavorful; I highly recommend them with a rating of 10/10. Furthermore, the staff is always quick, helpful and respectful. If you happen to be in the vicinity, you must pay them a visit, you will not be disappointed.

Sides to choose from - Cole slaw, mashed potatoes, corn, rice, charro beans, potato salad, macaroni n fixing's (onions, pickles, cheese n sour cream). Papa is huge n full of meat! Sweet tea or lemonade is diabetic heaven. Don’t forget about dessert - homemade peach or apple cobbler with or without ice cream. Service is friendly. Owner n daughter are the best to make you feel like family. Leave your diet at the door!!
