Truth be told, I hadn't been here in about 6 months and after today's lunch, I now remember why. The lack of consistency is my biggest problem with this place. There are days where I will get an awesome plate of General Chow (crispy on the outside and tender on the inside), about 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time, I'll get General Chow like I did today (soggy/gross) which feels like it's been stewing in the sauce all day long. This doesn't make sense because I went by just before 11:30am so I would have thought it would have been fresh. One of the pieces of chicken also tasted like it was about to go bad, which completely grossed me out, along with the texture of the food. This being said, I did not even finish the food and left about half of it for my dogs.... The plates are usually LOADED like mine was today as you can see by the photo but then again, who cares if it doesn't taste good. Some people might like that but I will take Quality over Quantity in MOST cases, lol. Hopefully next time I drive by this place and I'm tempted to stop in, I will read my own review and remember why I stay away.

Always enjoyed coming here to get some fast and tasty take out. It's a shame their hours have been reduced, I can hardly visit now that they close at 6pm, but here's hoping that changes soon.

I like this place but I can never go anymore because of their reduced hours. I hope their families are ok with everything going on. Can’t wait to be able to go back (after 6pm)! I miss the Hunan Tofu so much. ?
Never again will I come back here. I thought I would be nice today and support a family owned restaurant especially with covid-19 hurting the economy. I ordered the 2 entre plate with fried rice, egg roll on the side and a coke. I found 2 hairs in my fried rice and the broccoli beef sauce tasted like Dog Chow. after finding the hairs I got nauseous and puked ?. I'm not going to ask for my money back because maybe the owner is having a hard time but I'm definitely never coming back here again.

Two stars for the large portions. Zero stars for "presentation".Don't get take out there!They seem to microwave your food in the styrofoam container. It was so hot that one completely melted through. The other one melted to the point of being questionable. We could not safely eat our two General Tso' s chicken plates. Closed by the time I took it back to try and return. Wasted money!

I looked up Chinese food places in McAllen and since it was near by I thought I’d try . Bad mistake! I got the 2 entree plate with sweet and sour chicken and beef and broccoli with loi mein noodles and fried rice . The only thing that I could eat was the rice and sweet and sour chicken . The sweet and sour sauce tasted awful , the beef tasted hamburger meat . The noodles had no flavor at all . Overall this was an awful experience and a waste of my money to eat this food .

Been going here since last year and have never been disappointed. Excellent service, great portion sizes, can't complain about the prize, tastes so damn good I can't keep myself from stuffing my mouth with each forkful. My only complaint is that there's a line when I swing by, these days, but I blame that on the customers, not the staff.
