$25 for two bbq sandwiches and two teas. Sliced sandwich would have made a better rubber ball. Could have seen the whip marks if it weren't for the ketchup/sauce. Never again.

We are camping at Brackenridge & went into town looking for some lunch. Glad we tried it out. The owners are a couple who were very nice & accommodating. My hubby & I shared ribs, sausage & turkey. Also had the fiesta corn as a side. All of the meat was moist & delicious. We live in Houston & love good BBQ. This is worth stopping for.

Frontier Restaurant offers really good BBQ and homemade food! They offer "specials" most days. Friday's fried fish and shrimp! Sunday's Turkey and dressing plate! The prices are not cheap - however, the quality is very good. If you are looking for good quality, home style food - this is a win!

My wife and I have eaten there twice in the months of Sept/Oct, 2020...picking up our meal in the drive-thru. We ordered sliced BBQ beef on bun and my wife had to have some of their okra gumbo...which she says is delicious. We enjoyed everything and plan to come back again. Look forward to the turkey and dressing they serve on Sundays.

The staff and owners were welcoming and explained their specials, each side, and dessert. I ate the medium turkey plate with green beans and pinto beans. Delish! The bbq is slightly too tomatoey. The sweet tea was refreshing! Ok on to desserts, whoa the banana pudding was excellent. I had the sawdust pie and that was delicious too. I stole me husbands banana pudding though!

They have some really good okra gumbo and brisket that I haven't quite seen done that way before. It was awesome!Their ribs are delicious too.

Had the cowboy fritos pie and it was delicious! People were friendly and explained everything on the menu for the day. Buddy says catfish is good to.

Nothing but praise. Our family enjoyed everything we ate. We especially enjoyed the friendliness of the owners/staff. We will absolutely eat there when we are in town again.
Brisket had a very good flavor, but was very lean and not very tender. Sides were good. Large plate was massive.
