On our trips to the Valley and back to Houston, we typically do not veer off of the highway to top up for food. We stick to the usuals, Buc-ees, The Texan, McD’s, WB. This time up we were somewhat tired of the usual, so we got off the highway in Edna and found 3 Potrillos Mexican Restaurant, and we gave it a shot.
Atmo was ok, small town restaurant decorated with Tex Mex flavor. Food was Tex Mexy lol, and lately, I’ve been on a hunt for good ol’ Tex Mex. It’s really good. Chips and Queso were on point, the beans and rice were nice and flavorful, the quesadillas were cheesy.
Stop by and give it a chance!

My daughter and I enjoyed the fajita nachos and crispy beef tacos. Overall it was a pleasant experience.
It's a very good for atmosphere for where it is... Meaning that the competition locally isn't very strong on ambience. I'd choose it for Tex-Mex food over driving say to Victoria. Food is great.. the chips & salsa, the enchiladas, the guacamole, chicken fajita quesadillas, beef fajitas, the stuffed avocado... All great.

I don’t live in Edna but I’m a couple of towns over so we stopped in for lunch as we were passing through and I was not disappointed as I usually am with other places.
The customer service was wonderful and the food was excellent.
We should all have pleasant experiences while supporting our local businesses and this place and the people who work there made my experience here quite pleasant.
