Boondoggle's provides a unique experience when compared to other dining options in the Clear Lake area. The service team is always friendly and accommodating. The rotation beverage selection provides a unique experience every visit. The menu is versatile to accommodate different preferences and the options for kids is fantastic. This is one of our favorite family dining locations in the area. Kudos to the Team for keeping the up the consistency of food quality, service, cleanliness, and beverage selection.

Interesting place, very British pub vibe. We sat at the bar this past Saturday afternoon, there was 2 bartenders, the guy was alright, but the girl couldn’t be bothered to help us at all, she was just posted up talking to some guy at the other end of the bar, didn’t even get us ketchup when we walked over there and asked. The food was really good, but I doubt we will be returning.

I’ve always been a big fan of this place, and I was so excited to revisit after six years. The beer did not disappoint, but it was steak night so I ordered the 14oz ribeye instead of my usual pizza/calzone. It was very disappointing: the steak was mostly gristle and fat, so I ended up ordering a calzone to go.
Service was super-friendly and very timely, and I should’ve just stuck to my instinct and ordered the pizza/calzone like I usually do.
This place is excellent, I will come back again next time I’m in the area because I just love the atmosphere and the beer selection. I definitely will not order a steak again, though.

We love boondoggles. Used to come here all the time when we had our boat. And later our kayaks. Really had enjoyed the service and the food on the dog friendly patio. We were able to bring our pup. Today while googling “Best Ruben’s near us” Boondoggles came up. Oh great, we love that place. We went there solely for a Rueben because we have tried to find something comparable to Ziggy‘s deli on Post Oak blvd downtown Houston. It came highly recommended from the bartender when we mentioned we heard the Rubens were some of the best around. We each ordered one. We found them to be just mediocre. Big Thick Texas rye toasted. Which was problem, number one. Authentic Ruben’s or grilled on a grill. Secondly there could not have been more than 2 tablespoons of sauerkraut smashed into the bread. The corned beef was sliced thick and relatively tender, but not enough to save the rating of this sandwich. Lots of good food here and we have had really excellent service on the outside patio. Today was mostly mediocre. I wish you could wear a sign around your neck that says “ I bartended for 25 years.” As to not be judged by our silver hair. “Assuming we are terrible tippers. Many young servers have missed out on really fabulous tips due to lack of attentiveness and this assumption. When I trained servers and bartenders, I always caution them against being biased by the way, a person looks. You don’t know who’s been a server/bartender before. I always told them to To serve their customer like they knew they were big tippers. That way when the check came and whether or not it was a big or small tip, you know for sure it wasn’t your fault.

This was our go to neighborhood pub when we lived in El Lago. Good specials, large beer list, good atmosphere. My only complaint is that prices are a tad high.

This is a great hang out place. The menu has a great variety of options. They have a brick oven for the pizza that just makes it really wonderful. Pizza burgers and fish baskets are all must tries.
