I’ve always been a big fan of this place, and I was so excited to revisit after six years. The beer did not disappoint, but it was steak night so I ordered the 14oz ribeye instead of my usual pizza/calzone. It was very disappointing: the steak was mostly gristle and fat, so I ended up ordering a calzone to go.

Service was super-friendly and very timely, and I should’ve just stuck to my instinct and ordered the pizza/calzone like I usually do.

We love boondoggles. Used to come here all the time when we had our boat. And later our kayaks. Really had enjoyed the service and the food on the dog friendly patio. We were able to bring our pup.
Today while googling “Best Ruben’s near us” Boondoggles came up. Oh great, we love that place.
We went there solely for a Rueben because we have tried to find something comparable to Ziggy‘s deli on Post Oak blvd downtown Houston.
It came highly recommended...
