Sammy G’s Bar & Grill

The staff welcomed us with a warm welcome as soon as we opened the door. It was as though we had made it back home. Audrie is very knowledgeable about the menu and quick to serve (one of the best servers we had in a long time). The food was hot and very good and the drinks were cold. As far as the prices go we got outta here cheaper than if we had went to a big chain restaurant, the prices are very reasonable. Thank You Audrie, we will definitely be back!!!

Love this place. Food is always excellent and the owner comes around and talks to everyone and makes sure you are taken care of. They have great specials and you don’t have to go all the way to Kemah to sit by the water and have a good drink and food.

Always a good time! Food was good and service was even better!!! Can’t wait to go back! We went with a big party and were still able to be seated right away!!

Great place. Service is friendly. Sammy G himself came out and said hello. Food was great. I had the fish sandwich, which was excellent, and the wings were fantastic.

Steak night was awesome! Service was awesome. Hubby had the smoked wings and said they were the bomb! Great atmosphere!

We went to Sammy G’s Saturday night we had a group of 9 ,the place was pretty full . As we were debating leaving we were approached and the crew went above and beyond to accommodate us . The staff was very friendly and willing to be helpful making it a very relaxing and enjoyable place with great food options . Can’t wait for summer time so we can dock up the boat out front and go in for a drink and food . It’s a new place so they are still working out the kinks but I love to see locals succeed!

Bartender sucked. Our beers sat empty for 5 minutes while the restaurant was empty, the food was alright but took forever. Good spot on the water definitely needs work, overall we didn’t enjoy our experience.

I had a terrible experience having lunch here. Everything I ordered was either incorrect or wasn’t what was described on the menu. I definitely will not be going back here!! Terrible ?

i just want to say i was so excited to come and eat here, let me just say the only reason i had an amazing time was bc of the service i got from halle. the food took forever, the bathroom was disgusting, and if i were to ever come back it would only be for her

We came in a group of about 20 ladies Monday night and sat on the patio, great food and drinks! But unfortunately had a very uncomfortable experience with the taller older owner I think he is? He slammed the door right next to our table after yelling at an employee I’m guessing. Our girlfriend asked to leave because when she was in the bathroom the same man was yelling at our server and banging a stick on the bar… overall it was a nice vibe but will not be back sadly.

We just left and the food was excellent. My son had a Fire fish sandwich, my daughter in-law had fish tacos and I had a Fried Basket. I would recommend all the dishes everything we had was great!!

Bartender was fine. Food service was crap. Fried cheese and a fried fish sandwich should not take 45 minutes in an empty restaurant. And then you give my order to guest as a Togo as I’m wondering where my food is. Then after I complain you plop it Down and say it’s free if I want it whatever… like I did something wrong for being irritated. Anyway I’m normally a very patient patron because I did this for a living for along time. Not this time. Won’t be back

It is a nice, small place with a hallway outside, which allows you to see the passing of local boats. We decided to stay outside in the fall but the sun is still intense.

At the outside tables, the waiter will come to serve you.
