Holy Smokes this place is awesome! Probably the best brisket I've ever had. The Texas burger and loaded potato were so good. And don't overlook the turkey leg! Staff are very nice and friendly. Just bummed won't be able to stop in again on Sunday (only 4 days later) on our way out of town.

Amazing brisket!! I don’t normally get loaded potato but really wanted to based off of other pictures and reviews. It was SO good! The meat is cooked to perfection. My husband got the Texan Sampler and really enjoyed every bite!The staff were all so friendly and kept everything clean. We didn’t have to wait very long for our food and it was fresh when it came to the table, didn’t taste reheated at all!Just a side note: if you use a card there is a 4% service charge, use cash and save!Definitely stop and give J&S your business! You will leave full and happy :)
This is one of those places that's tucked into a little space off of the highway with almost no signs that it's there. As you approach, the thought occurs that either you're about to enjoy some amazing food or get murdered. It's most assuredly the former.The interior is absolutely gorgeous. Which was honestly surprising, given how nondescript the exterior is. Nice wood booths, clean all around. But the food? Amazing. The pulled pork was flavorful without being too sharp. The chicken was incredible. Brisket was great. Green beans were normal canned green beans that they jumped up with some incredible seasonings. And honestly, the bean and cheese taco was superb and our favorite.

Stopped off for an early lunch around noon and it was quite empty but that didn't dent the customer service and overall cozy feel of this place. The hubs and I had a sampler plate with brisket, sausage, ribs, chicken and Mac and creamed corn as sides plus his brisket spud. So much food and such great flavors! You can taste the love and seasonings in every bite! This will be my go to when making the trip to town.
Went there randomly on a spring break trip with the kids after seeing it on Google Maps. Almost left because the parking lot is a gravel driveway and we ended up coming in from the back side so it almost looked like someone’s house. Found the front and went in and really enjoyed it. Not really sure if the guy who came to talk to us several times was the chef or manager or what but he brought free brownies for the kids (wife and I might have snuck a small sample, haha). Would recommend.

Save yourself the trouble. Left half the brisket on my plate. Extremely fatty. Asked for lean and got completely marbled with the 3 largest pieces being mostly fat.$25 for lunch and ate a tiny portion. The witness asked if I needed a to go box and I told her no thanks, I won't eat that. Should've realized there was an issue with it. Definitely will not be coming back here.

Got the Sampler, pulled pork taco, and some cookies To-Go. Went next door for some drinks. I started to dig into my lunch about 5min from getting it and everything was room temperature. Not cold, not warm, definitely not hot. Mac-N-Cheez was like gritty, everything had that light smokey flavor. The beans and the taco were the warmest things. Unsure about how fresh everything was. The cookies were soft, sausage was good, and the chicken was great besides the skin. I asked from shredded brisket and got chopped. Over all, paid a little under 30$ but just wish they would have told me I had to microwave my food.
First time trying this place. Driving up the place looked closed, then we saw the "open" signs flashing but no cars on the lot. Walked up, looked in, and sure enough, they're open. Great!The place looks and smells like a legit bbq joint. However, the food was a great disappointment.Old, dry, rubbery, shrunken brisket (I specifically asked for marbled), super dry chicken, Mac w/ cheese on top. The only thing that was decent and fresh looking was the potatoe salad and the sausage. In the 45min that we were there only (1) one person walked in for a to go order. I think the police call that a clue.Man, we were so looking forward to some real BBQ and got let down.Idk about the 5 star reviews, but I certainly didn't think today was a 5 star day.
