Nice people, excellent service

Wanted to give a better review because the service was great and the people were very friendly but Taco's were a little small and my barbacoa taco was very dried out with my tortilla being hard. Bean and cheese and carne guisada were good but had very little cheese. My wife said her tacos were good.

I contemplated leaving a review because I would like to keep Los Portales my little secret. However, it would be selfish of me not to share and this restaurant deserves the business. If there was a restaurant to call home this would be my home restaurant but not only because of its proximity to my residence but also how you feel when you visit here. It’s a small family owned casual establishment. It’s not fancy by any means. The owner typically serves the food during the week but on weekends her girls will be serving and she works in the kitchen. The owner is very nice and attentive. I have eaten quite a few things in the restaurant including tacos, breakfast plates and enchilada plates and all were very good. I especially enjoy the homemade corn tortillas. The prices are very reasonable as well. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area and looking for good food, comfortable atmosphere and reasonable prices.
