It's insane to me to be an owner of a franchise, have promotional material of the items in your shop and be completely OK with your employees refusing to make said promoted items. 9/10 kolaches are never available and I doubt it's for lack of material to make them. At the end of the day, it's the owner losing business due to lazy/negligent employees. This shipleys location will just remain forgotten just like the rest of Elsa.

Workers were very friendly and the food was amazing! You can definitely tell that their food is made by hand. Me and my husband got 1 dozen of do-nut holes for 2.19$ (with tax). Very airy and not too sweet. 1 iced salted caramel coffee is definitely WAY better than McDonald's. Also their cheese and sausage Kols are a great size for the price.

Been there a couple of times early in the morning and they never have donut ready . The employee always says he won’t have any donuts until after 730-8 when they open at 5am.. They equipments alway broke down or that the excuse I always get.

The cashier with the glasses was just incredibly rude. Someone should teach her how to speak to people if she is going to work in customer service. THAT isn't the cause for the 1 star food and atmosphere review though. Saw a roach, immediately left. I recommend taking your business to the other bakeries in town. They have served Elsa for years and are always friendly and clean. ?

I love donuts and rate these the best I've had in RGV, so far in my first year here. Got there today at 11 am and they were getting ready to put out a fresh batch of donuts. Didn't want to wait the 30 minutes but the available donuts were very good. Highly recommend! 2nd visit poor timing again, wanted donut holes but they were out. The guy says I could get the donuts he made but hadn't filled yet, that they should be similar just bigger. I think this was good thinking and honestly considering what the customer wanted. I will be back!
