January 2026 update: returned on my way to Dallas. Had one of the best Wagyu steak sandwiches ever! Served on a soft bun along with thin crispy chips. A little expensive but worth it! Fantastic out of the way small restaurant. Beautiful inside facility. Great friendly staff. Worth the drive several miles off of 45. Great art work. Small shop adjacent to it that has a wide variety of products from cosmetics to home goods.

We have been here several times. The food is always amazing and the wait staff are exceptional. It is quiet and cozy. The gift shop attached is so cute and has a lot of items to choose from. The drink menu is like no other. Great for just a night out or a special occasion.

We went for the first time today and it was so good! My husband and I had the special breakfast tacos, they did not disappoint. Our kids had the chicken tenders and fries. The ranch was bomb! It was all so tasty. We can’t wait for our next visit.

I’ve been there twice and plan on many more! We’ve had brunch and dinner there (avacado toast with poached egg, salmon over quinoa, shrimp & grits, Breakfast Burger and a Bowl with risotto & chicken, creme brulee, Ooey Gooey Butter Cake) and it was all so incredibly delicious and well presented. We’ve had two different servers and both were so good and seem to really enjoy making it an experience for you.

I wish there was another star to give for the Service at Fern in the Wild! Carley our server was amazing! She didn’t mind telling us about the specials several times because we kept talking and forgetting what she said! She told us her favorite but didn’t try to make us get them and when we made our choices she affirmed our choices because she knew that everything on their menu was yummy. The atmosphere was really sweet and comfortable the food was every bit as good as anything you would get out of brunch restaurant in Dallas! Colleague explained that Fern in the wild is a farm to table eatery sourced locally grown locally or prepared locally! Our table was spectacular with a beautiful view of the cute street outside it felt private without being snobby. I can’t wait to bring other people here! The attention to the smallest detail was so nice to see . Also the bathrooms were so clean and although I do not have children or grandchildren the koala care station in the restroom was the nicest one I have ever seen anywhere ! After brunch we took a stroll through the gift shop and I cannot wait to wear the cute dress that I bought!

We celebrated my grandmothers 80th birthday here recently. I was concerned at first about bringing my kiddos in due to the elegant atmosphere, but they made us feel right at home. Ben, the bartender and waiter there is amazing, you’d be blessed to get to know him. If you haven’t tried you’re missing out! Such a sweet place our community has!
