1/12/2026 - My wife and I ate here for the 1st time. We came here from Mabank.
A hidden jewel! Very deceiving when you look at it from the outside. However, when you go inside, tastefully decorated with nice booths and tables. More spacious than it looks like from the outside. Very clean. Even the bathrooms are clean.
Now to the food. What impressed me was that everything is freshly made. The salsa was some of the best I've had and of course homemade. The tortillas (both flour and corn) were so fresh and good. I had the Fajita plate and a side order of street tacos. The beef was very tasty. My wife had the Chile Relleno plate. She happens to be a connoisseur when it comes Chile Relleno. She was quite impressed. We'll eat there again as we go that way from time to time. The service was good. I recommend this restaurant.

“Unique” is the most polite way to describe this place. The building feels like it’s caving in and everything was sticky/grimey/wobbly/uneven. My quesadilla wasn’t bad, the beans and rice were very good tho. I’m sure there are regulars who love this place but I’ll keep looking elsewhere.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Ennis Tx, cause it’s authentic Mexican food (usually people thinks TexMex is Mexican).

Super fresh tortillas on the Enchiladas Verde and packed full of chicken!

I have been to this restaurant in the past but it had been a while since I went again. I was very pleased to see that it looks like business is going well as they have done a lot of upgrades. I always love to see small businesses prosper! So 4 of us dined. The food was delicious which is why we went back again and the service was good. However, when it came time to pay, the owner who was checking me out repeated my order back. I corrected him and said that we ordered 2 teas and 2 aguas de pepino. He again said it was 4 aguas that the price was the same. I know damn well that aguas are more expensive at any restaurant so that was why I corrected him to begin with. Since he charged me what he wanted, I ended up paying $22 for 4 non alcoholic drinks! Needless to say I will NEVER go back there again!
I'm not trying to bash this business. My experience doesn't take away the fact that they have great food. I just want the public to be aware so that you pay attention when you're checking out.

My husband and I decided to try them out today. The place is kind of small. I personally didn’t like my plate. I had the chilaquiles and it had no flavor. My husband had the guiso rojo and he liked it. The prices were reasonable.

Food is always delicious. We love to come with our friends after church. Don't sleep on their tacos or their Shrimp quesadillas.
