My husband and I decided to try them out today. The place is kind of small. I personally didn’t like my plate. I had the chilaquiles and it had no flavor. My husband had the guiso rojo and he liked it. The prices were reasonable.
Overrated. The red sauce is the stuff you put on elotes. Taco Tuesday tacos are store bought tortillas and much smaller than the normal ones. Better off not discounting and serving their normal quality. Their standard tortillas are good. Guiso de res a la Mexicana was basically sautéed chopped bistek with pico. Not a carne guisada. Probably the best Mexican place for the area but wouldn’t make it in a larger city.
Unassuming spot with generous portions, incredible flavors and friendly service. The lengua tacos were so tender with big chunks of meat. Birria tacos came with 4 in an order and packed to the max with cheese and meat. The menudo was full of meat and not spicy just how I like it. But for folks who like spicy, you will have to add stuff yourself. But I just love this place and can't wait to go back to try other items on the menu.
