We are generally Ruston’s fans but NYE was a fail from a service perspective. This seems like a night to have your A team on during the dinner rush but the restaurant served too many patrons to provide good service given the level of experienced staff that was there. Despite how painfully long we waited for everything we ordered, including drinks, I will say food was actually really good.

12/25- Went back for another anniversary dinner. Great meal. I had the smoked rib and a few Smoked Barbwire old fashioned. The wife had the wagyu NY strip steak. Both tasty, pricey, but worth it. Even on a fixed income, we come here a few times a year.
Our meals were excellent! Our server Krista, was very informative and helpful in describing the menu options. The steaks were very tender and tasty. The adult beverage selection was very interesting and I had a smoked old fashioned with rye. It paired well with burnt ends appetizer. My wife had a watermelon margarita which was light and refreshing. This was our first time there and we will be back with friends.

This was the best meal I’ve had in a long time l. Just passing through town and stopped here by chance. I can assure you it’s on my permanent list. The quail knots are to die for! The lamb chops are phenomenal and the banana pudding was excellent! The smoked old fashion was PERFECT! The waitress (I think her name is Madeline) we spent around 200 dollars and I wouldn’t have batted an eye to double that for the quality, flavor, and service! If you pass through Ennis! Do yourself a favor and stop! 10 outta five stars!!

Steaks are great, atmosphere is lively and the whiskey list is one to not be missed. Don't forget dessert, the bread pudding is big enough for the whole table! And they light it on fire!! Yum!!
We were invited as part of the chamber of commerce dinner appreciation evening. Pork chop, garlic mashed potatoes and green beans, superb!!!!

1st time to order Waygu filet($64.00) was not very impressed, wife ordered reg.filet both steaks were ordered med.rare, she had to send hers back was over cooked didn't send mine back probably should have??

Great food, outstanding service, and one heck of a bourbon selection. Was pleasant to see they have cigars for purchase and can smoke them them on the patio. We will likely be back soon
