It's the perfect place. All the food, including brisket, ribs, sausage, potato salad, and warm toast, tastes amazing!The workers are all friendly and the traditional restaurant has a Texas-style atmosphere, which is very nice. This place is highly recommended as both the taste and service are good.

Being my wife and myself first and last time eating here. We both got the 2 meat plate dinner. My wife enjoyed her coleslaw and sliced chicken breast. She didn't care for the macaroni and cheese. I got the pork ribs. Which were tender but lack smokiness and flavor. The sausage was lukewarm at best and also lacked seasoning. The ranch style beans juices were watery and fell short of tasting like ranch style beans. The potato salad is a mustard/mayonnaise base that was okay, but I like my potato salad more sweet. Customer service was good. Everyone's taste in BBQ is different. With that being said, try this BBQ place out if you want. Maybe Hickory Stick needs cooks who know how to season meats and smoke them better. I recommend Bone Daddy's, Soulman's and other BBQ restaurants over Hickory Stick.

If you like good Texas barbecue, this is the kind of place you wish was right around the corner. Not only is the food some of the best barbecue in the state, the joint is a perfect neighborhood handout. If you like beer, they have some of the coldest around. The owner will come chat with you and tell you about the history of the restaurant and his dad who started it.Seriously, one of the coolest little joints I've been to in a very long time. Plus, I got to try it out with my daughter!

The loaded baked potato is amazing and definitely worth the price! The nachos on the other hand, maybe something good to eat there. Definitely not a great item to take. Nachos tasted good but they were soggy. I enjoyed the rub that they use. It had good flavor and the barbecue sauce was nice and sweet. Overall it was great and I will be trying it again. The only reason why it didn't receive five stars is the soggy nachos.

I remember going here as a kid because my friends mom worked here. her name was Sharon Manning..it was great then and it's still amazing. also Fri and sat best smoked pork chop around. there is a Reason they rated best in ft worth.

Me and a coworker like to try all the BBQ places within a 30 min drive of the office. This place rated 4.7 out of 5 stars, so we went. Honestly, it was average at best. Had brisket and sausage and was unimpressed. Had to douse everything in BBQ sauce to make it taste good. Daynes, Hurtado, Zavalas, Goldees, Panther City, Huthcins, just to name a few all are far superior.

Great small town vibe but are always out of what you want to order just for it to be served to people that are behind you in line, the chopped bbq sandwich is so dry they give you liquid bbq sauce out, this is definitely my last time going.The staff is lovely aside from the older guy that only smiles out the Caucasians customers

A great local BBQ place. Highly recommend the Volcano, a massive Frito pie topped with brisket. The nachos are also massive and good.
