This is a small quiet place. Out in Fabens right on Alameda Ave. I got the tacos de dessbrada. They were very good however, there wasn't that much meat in them. The portions of the beans and rice were small aswell .

I had something you just can't find in Colorado, Caldo de Res. At first the bowl looked small, but looks can be and were deceiving. I walked out completely satisfied.

Got the enchiladas with beans and rice and let me tell you this is some of the best Mexican food you can get from a restaurant in town. Whether you are just passing through or live here PLEASE give this place a try. Service was quick and amazing and the food speaks for itself. 10/10!!!

Excellent place to eat genuine Mexican food! Nena has actually memorized my favorite plates and I’ve been coming here since 2019. Don’t let the Google search mislead you…the restaurant IS open now in 2024. You definitely want to take a trip to Nena’s Restaurant and enjoy yourself a genuine plate!!!

I tried their red enchiladas with ground beef last time and they were so delicious. I ordered flautas for my grandmother as well and they were also tasty. I believe they were part their special of of day because it came with sopa de fideo which was also very delicious. Nena has always been friendly the times I have gone to order food. I look forward to ordering here in the future.
My husband was born in Fabens so we came to visit. We stopped by NENA's to eat. The food is so delicious and the atmosphere very comfy. The hospitality was superb! We decided to come again this weekend and brought other family members. They loved the food! The tripitas are to die for! The menudo was the best they had ever tasted! We will for sure be coming back very soon. (Some family members came from California) Chacon family
