Got a chopped sandwich it was too greasy for starters . I asked for pickles, 3 slices, and for onions, a tiny pinch, very little bbq sauce bread is chewy, and everything in that store is way over price but by far the worst bbq I've had

I've stopped here every trip to Dallas for 15 years. EVIDENTLY there's a new owner. Twice the help has been sub par and not at all bbq educated. & brisket dry and tasteless. I'm giving one last try today.
Long story short. This place used to be a staple in the community, but I will not go back. On my recent visit, the food was OK at best, but the big issue is how disgusting this place is. If I had really looked around before ordering, I would have just walked out. No other customers, but tables were all dirty, Floors & basically every surface in this place were filthy. Dead roaches that looked like they have been there for a while. We won't even get into the restroom. I am not a neet freak & have had some of the best food in less than pristine environments, but I ended up eating in my car due to the filth & honestly contemplated just throwing the food away. Have gone here for decades, but unless something seriously changes, will never go back.

This place has slid downhill in a big way. I mean, the brisket is still good, but just close your eyes when you go in the door because the inside is trashed. Flooring all a torn up mess, shelving and display things scattered about, and now the inclusion of 3 big gambling machines. Oh, and no longer have gas. I have Ben stopping here for at least 25 years on drives to Houston. No more, no more.

Today we stopped here, because it used to be one of our favorite stops! There was a sign outside said 1 meat plate with 2 sides 10.99 includes drink. We started to order that when the server rudely told us that the signs were not in his job description and that the special for Sunday is 2 pounds of meat got about $40. My husband and I looked at each other and left. I refuse to give up even $1 to a business that thinks that kind of service is appropriate! Such a shame!
Family owned, home cooking, friendly and welcoming place~food delicious!!! Hamburgers are AMAZING! BBQ tasty and prepared perfectly😃

10/10 just wonderful. I have been craving a chopped beef sandwich for weeks now. I’m from Fort Worth and I vacationed in Houston, I seen this place heading back to Fort Worth and I stopped by. I’m sooo happy I did. The sandwich was amazing, the staff were lovely. I highly recommend 🩷
