Truly authentic Mexican food, highly recommend. Got the al pastor and chicken tacos. Al pastor was some of the best I've had, ever. Juicy and flavorful and the right amount of greasy. On some grilled corn tortillas, perfect. Some of the best tacos I've had in a while. Chicken tacos on flour tortillas were good too. A little less juicy but very big and still tasted great. For $2.50 a taco, absolutely worth it. Small little hole in the wall and they were packed when we came for lunch. Probably better to come a bit before or after the heavy lunch crowd. One of the greatest gems in Farmers Branch. This is my go-to place for breakfast tacos!...as well as their selection of traditional Mexican food. My favorite thing to get there is the green chilaquiles, be careful they're a little spicy but that's how I like mine. They have some of the best green salsa, it has a rich texture and nice kick. Its a really unassuming place, you can tell they cook their food with love. It's a family owned business, you can find the owner there regulary, very friendly environment.

If you want dependable and consistent quality...come here. I got the carnitas guisadas. They were beef and not pork as I'm used to getting. Still good nonetheless. I'm recommended this little hole as many others do from the look of a packed parking lot. Next time I'm trying the happy hour breakfast plates. 7-10 y'all!!

Great great place. Very small seating but totally with it. I would wait outside for a seat if that's what it took. Service is great, the owner cares and is super amazing. We never had tongue, she gave us a sample, it was bunch better than I expected. This is authentic Mexican food. I've had nearly everything on the menu, it's all great.

Was so glad to find Elena's on my trip to Dallas. It's a small spot offering quality homemade Mexican food including delicious homemade flour tortillas. Prices are fantastic as well. $1.50 breakfast tacos before 10am. All this plus incredibly friendly and attentive service. I'll be back for sure!
