This place is a classic and a true gem to our community!!! The owners are so kind and care about their customers and about their experience.. and you can feel that in their food as well. So good. I’m reading through some of the lower rated posts and It’s funny how people complain. I don’t get it. It’s exactly what you’d expect if you want a cafe experience.

That chicken fried steak with the eggs and potatoes with the biscuit and gravy is so good! Please come check them out no disappointment trust me!Kid-friendliness: Have a play area for the kids.

If your ever in the area and looking for breakfast or lunch then you definitely need to give this place a try. The food is amazing, best chicken fried steak that I’ve had in a while. The potatoes are real and freshly cut, you can tell by the quality. And, I added some feta cheese to my eggs to add some Greek flavor to my dish that is just completely satisfying. Plus the waiter, Justin was very attentive without being over bearing. I believe that Goldie Locks said it beat “just right”. Lol ?. You will not be disappointed in trying this restaurant out.Oh ya… and the pie! The pie with a scoop of ice cream was delightful, not too heavy and fresh seasonal fruit.

I usually leave 5 stars reviews but I wanted to be fair. The restaurant is completely different than what you see in the photos, including the prices. The place has been highly upgraded with new administration and prices are more expensive now. I understand that but the thing is that the menu and information in Google Maps is still the old classic version of the restaurant including the menu. We didn't know that so we called and ordered based on what we saw in internet. We were supposed to spend $22 just for the food, not including the tip. We called by phone to pick up the food and we paid $38 in the store and we received less than what we ordered. They gave me a sandwich with just bread, ham, egg and mayo. They charged me like $14 for that sandwich and it was not what I ordered, since I ordered a "Ham Club" which it was in the old menu and it was supposed to has more ingredients. They also charged me $4 for a soup on the side and the old menu said that was supposed to be included with the sandwich. The food was good. I still encourage you to try it by yourself and I hope you'll receive a better experience. That was my experience in Sunday, Oct 30, 2022.

Absolutely wonderful breakfast! Very clean and comfortable environment. They even provide real cream for your coffee. The Country potato's were amazing actually thin sliced seasoned with onions, red and green bell peppers very tasty. The Belgian waffles were really good and served with a small side of very fresh strawberries! The staff was very friendly and even recommended local attractions. Even came by after we finished and removed our plates. That was nice a lot of places don't bother with that these days. Highly recommended this real old school cafe!

I have been there numerous times and it has been under newOwnership and a new manager in the past two months. Justin is AWESOME!! The food is reasonably priced and the flavor is out of this world!!! This is a hidden gem! I highly recommend them!

Where do I begin!First off the wife and I were seated at 11am on the dot. Our server came by and was emotionless at best. She took our drink and meal order, after which we were brought our coffee to sip on while we waited. And boy DID WE WAIT...I ordered the full waffle breakfast and my wife the full pancake breakfast, after which we waited, and waited, and WAITED. After 50 minutes of having absolutely NO ONE come by our table (we finished our coffee in 15 minutes) we decided enough was enough. We paid for our coffee and left, with the girl at the cash register telling us to have a nice day.Needless to say I don't think we're ever going back as this was the second time we had poor service here. Skip this place entirely unless you don't plan on eating right away and like being ignored. We're on our way to Norma's Cafe instead where the servers are attentive and the wait isn't long...

Here are my pros and cons.On the good side, the server and staff are accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed the kids play area. There's no wait line, was pretty empty. On the down side however, this is not the best place if you don't eat beef or pork and like a different meat option with breakfast. They should consider asking if you want butter on the side or not. The hash browns here were probably some of the worst I've ever had. Dry and unflavored with an odd color and texture. It's overly priced for the food quality and portions. I will probably won't be coming back any time soon.

So having recently moved to the Farmers Branch, we decided to try this local business. When we arrived, it looked like it was closed, but alas, we spotted a solitary Diner, so we decided to go in. We were warmly greeted by a bearded man, and were told we could sit anywhere. I ordered full breakfast for $15 and my partner ordered the half. Our coffee cups were kept full at all times, and the food came out pretty quickly. The food was cooked perfectly, but the quality was lacking. For example, the bacon was paper thin, and the sausage was greasy. The portion size was on the smaller side, as when you get two meats, it's one small sausage li k and one piece of bacon. The dining room decor was very bland as everything was painted white. There was a wall with arts and crafts on it that may have been for sale, as there was a lady setting up shop to say. This place could be a gold mine as there really isn't any breakfast competition nearby. I would redecorate the dining room, use better quality ingredients, and come up with a theme like possibly farm to table and source local ingredients.

This restaurant has been taken over by new owners and they deserve a big 5 stars! This place is great. The whole family ate breakfast here around 8am this morning. Food was delicious and hot. Owners are pleasant and friendly. And the building is bright and cheery. Everything is clean and welcoming. Will definitely eat here again! --The owners were even nice enough to host my youngest daughters imaginary friend, Bob.

Under new ownership. Wow, excellent food. Had breakfast here, hash browns, gravy and bacon, pleasantly surprised to get home made hash browns, home made gravy and perfectly cooked bacon. Highly recommend this place.

I used to go to this cafe with my grandmother all the time before she passed away. This place holds many good memories. The food is delicious, especially the grilled ham and cheese and the French toast. And the waiters are very kind and helpful. Definitely recommend to all in the area!

New Ownership!!!! I stopped going when the prior owner took over due to numerous issues. A new group took over, freshened the interior and introduced a new menu.Just finished breakfast by ordering the Half Portion which gets you a pancake, french toast or half waffle along with 2 pieces of breakfast meat, hash browns or potatoes and an egg. I had the pancake which was thick but still tender and tasty. Hash browns were freshly grated and cooked and delicious. My wife ordered the 1/2 waffle ala cart and it came out tasty and crisp. The new décor features a large table in one corner for extended families or large groups. The dining room is bright and clean.Looking forward to trying lunch.

Service is very slow. Wasn't able to eat because 50 minutes to wait for 4 cheeseburgers and then get told it's going to be 15 minutes more I decided just to leave and go elsewhere.
