The chef is truly inspired! Sophisticated, layered flavors in every dish and the wait staff was attentive and thoughtful.

Server was annoying. The restaurant is not kid friendly what so ever. Deviled eggs were not good and too salty. Butter beans were cold. Short ribs were dry and too salty. Kitchen is extremely unaccommodating. I won’t go back an I would not recommend.

The Gumbo and the Cornbread was phenomenal! I came all the way from NH, and it was worth the trip!!! Tiffany Derry did not disappoint!!!

Incredible dining experience! The cozy atmosphere was enhanced by the live jazz duo that played. In such a small space, I would have expected it to be overwhelming, but it was absolutely divine. The dishes came out quick and hot, and the server paid extra attention to dietary restrictions. The food was a delightful, palatable experience, best I have had in Dallas thusfar. If you are in Dallas, you have to stop by.

First arriving, I thought this place was closed since the windows were darkly tinted and there was no “open” sign visible. I was about to leave when my gut told me to open the door, which I did. Boy, was I happy it opened! This place is delicious! The food and drinks were really good. Definitely worth checking out!!

Delicious and interesting meal where you might not expect it. I had the baked cabbage on a bed of garbanzo beans Yes I’m a vegetarian, but I’m not a big cabbage guy. Lovely textures and combination of flavors. My carnivorous fellow diners were equally pleased.

Had an amazing dinner. Everything was excellent and the service was on point. We can't wait to come back. Definitely recommend the Cod Fritters, Duck Fat fried Chicken and the Red Fish!!

My experience at Roots was not recommendable. The organization and coordination was horrible. The service was frantic as if the waiter and manger were overwhelmed, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were because they were way too many people in that small building. The food was not as creative and flavorful as it was hyped up to be. $56 for chicken is absorb. The red fish was very bland and fishy. If you’re looking for a nice place to have dinner for a date or with some friends, go somewhere else. Again the experience and atmosphere was of poor quality and the food was mid. The website, social medias, and reviews made the restaurant seem like a friendly, semi-fine dining experience but it gave first time restaurant owners that are still figuring it out.

I will say management handled a situation in which I found hair in my food and the without questioning or hesitation handled it well.

We always have a great time at Roots! Roots offers a great environment where you could be there on a date, just with a group of friends or there to celebrate a big event in your life. Chef Tiffany and her staff are always very welcoming and helpful when answering any questions you may have about the menu. If you’re exploring the Farmers Branch are I 100% recommend Roots Southern table as one of your next stops

Parking: There is parking in front of the restaurant it if that is full there is another parking lot behind the building where you park then walk through a passage way to the front

Very delicious fried chicken. I’m not sure if it’s worth the price tag but very delicious. Service was very attentive and presentation of food was great! Make sure to make reservations.

I had an excellent experience! I had the braised beef short ribs, greens, and hot water cornbread. The food is exquisite! The service was like wise.
