The Caribbean Cajun

I found this place on grubhub and wanted to support after reading mostly good reviews. I wish I had the same experience but I did not. I ordered Rasta Pasta, which was delivered in an unsealed bag; the seal was on the side of it. It's a nice portion of food for $16 but my mouth was on FIRE. It's like cayenne and jalapeño pepper juice was poured over it; so, even though it has cajun chicken, some bell peppers and cabbage, I couldn't taste it for all the spice. Had to down a lot of water. I do not like wasting food but don't think I can finish this one.

Omg I’m from out of state and the food was amazing. I will definitely be back for more. Staff was great and helpful with recommendations, environment was clean as well.

This is not "cajun" gumbo.
Not the worst food ive ever eaten by any means, but definitely closer to a creole/new orleans gumbo.
Okra is a big no no in cajun gumbo, also you gotta cut that trinity smaller cause big chunks of bell pepper are unappetizing, and for a real cajun gumbo your roux gotta be dark dark. This was way too blonde.
The stock/base tasted closer to the consistency and flavor of a seafood gumbo, which if you know gumbo they should not be tasting the same.

This is purely a homesick bias, and personal preference, you may absolutely love this dish, but it's not what it claims to be.

I can't speak on the other food here, but if you're a cajun lookin for a taste of home skip the chicken and sausage gumbo, I bet the seafood gumbo is good though!!

I will say though that the food came hot, fresh and quickly and was not super expensive so it's all love!!!
Us cajuns just don't play about our food.

Stumbled upon them at The Rail-yard in Frisco. Ordered the Jerk Nachos- utterly amazing!!!! I missed the Jerk tacos (bottom of the menu), but upon someone’s recommendation, I ordered and took home. Seriously, the best tacos I’ve ever had! Do NOT miss ordering these tacos! Food is amazing and service was quick and very friendly. I will seek them out for my “taco & nacho fix”. I was told the jerk wings are amazing, so adding that to my next order. Just great food from really nice people.

I ordered the Cajun Chicken and Sausage Pasta and it was not good at all. The description said it's in a parmesan cream sauce. It was more of a bowl of broth. I received a Sausage soup with pasta. No chicken could be found. It was barely any chicken. I was extremely disappointed with this dish. My first and last time I would order for this place. Just a waste of money.

This right here! Food, service (prompt and efficient), cleanliness, and Food (Yes, again) is TOP NOTCH!My absolute favorite (if I must choose one) on the menu is the Shrimp gumbo; I could eat it 24/7 and then some. It is seasoned precisely and you never want the meal to end!Caribbean Cajun is definitely worth the stop, walk, or drive!

Oxtail, Rice and Peas and Plantains were all good also, BBQ Jerk Chicken Wings and Fries ?

Where else can you go to get high quality Cajun and Caribbean food at the same place? The jerk nachos were amazing, and the fish tacos tasted better than they looked and they looked fantastic. Every time I got food from here, it was always made fresh. If you are close enough to get this food right here, stop reading and go order.

My recent experience with The Caribbean Cajun was simply outstanding, despite a few bumps in the road with the DoorDash delivery. However, Jandris stepped in and went above and beyond to make things right, showing genuine care and dedication. As for the oxtails I ordered, they were absolutely amazing – tender, flavorful, and clearly made with love. I can't recommend The Caribbean Cajun highly enough, not just for the amazing food, but also for the exceptional service. If you're looking for great Caribbean food paired with genuine hospitality, The Caribbean Cajun is the place to be!

After placing an online order and showing up to pick up at the time slot, I waited an additional 30 min. No one came to the window to help when I rang the bell. Then I get an alert that my order was canceled because they were busy.
