The Smokin Donut (Inside Fate Gas & Grocery) Donuts & Barbecue

I have eaten the BBQ beef sandwich here several times and it’s really consistently good! The sandwich is a good size and as much as I can eat at one setting. I’m also a big fan of their BBQ sauce and their French fries. The last visit there, I tried their pinto beans, which had a nice flavor and a little kick included by the jalepeno’s. Overall, it’s definitely a value for the price and the portions and quality you get…it’s one of my goto’s when I visit Fate once a month!

Went at 5:30 on Saturday to get Baked Potato. They were out, so ordered (2) 2 plate meals. Seems like we must have gotten the last of everything. Turkey was dry, sausage was dry, brisket was over cooked. Was supposed to get chicken nuggets for grandson, and was surprised by corn nuggets. Not the best experience.

Before we get to the food, the service here was 10/10, true "southern hospitality".Now the food... ?Everything was fresh and hot and the portions were out of this world.We had the brisket nachos but on totts...Heaven!

I ordered a box of custom donuts for my grandson’s 4th birthday and Renee did an awesome job. My grandson was so surprised that I got him donuts with his name spelled out and he loved all the special treats on top of the donuts. I have found my new place to go for donuts. Go check them out ?

I was very surprised by this place. Got a chopped brisket sandwich and potato salad. The Sandwich had a ton of meat on it and it was tender. Potato salad was pretty good too. Tasted homemade. Also, the older gentleman at the register was really kind and upbeat. I would definitely go back.

Just delicious food.Only problem I have is Delicious Apple Fritters are high calorie. Doesn’t stop me ?

A barbecue/ donut restaurant is a brilliant idea. Great selection, especially love the peanut butter jelly donut. Will defo be back soon

We had high hopes for this BBQ from the reviews. Either we had a bad day or this is the worst bbq I’ve eaten. With the service, you can’t complain about it cause there isn’t any. Meat was very dry, tasteless, rough, and smelled musky. We kept hearing the microwave running and go off like the meat was being reheated, as it wasn’t fresh, which it definitely didn’t taste fresh. Walmart has better sliced brisket than this place. We came home and threw it away. Prices were double than what these pictures show online. Very disappointing.-1 positive to them is they do load your meal up with food, but doesn’t matter if it’s gross.

I moved from Royse City to Lake Tawakoni 4 years ago. Every time I am close to Fate,I always stop here for my barbecue fix. The sandwiches was wonderful. However, my favorite are the brisket tacos. Out of this world delicious. Since I live so far, I always get 4. Two for my dinner and 2 for the next day. No one comes close to this barbecue.

Excellent barbecue joint.Great service. Good amount of food for the price. The spicy pinto beans are awesome. The okra is great. The potato salad is delicious. If your looking for a barbecue place. This is it.

This is the best bbq!!! The owner is super nice and always loads up the plates with food. Love the donuts as well! You must go, you won't regret it!

Damn these donuts are good!!!! Had the maple bacon, s’mores, eclair, frootloops, gummy bear, and a plain chocolate. All were super tasty. The only thing I would say is about the eclair. The filling was in only about 1/4 of it. Will definitely come here again.

I live nearby and these donuts are our favorite treat as a detour on our way home. The donuts are great and the people are better. Will keep supporting them for as long as we live here :)

First time today, my son , wife and two granddaughters are in town and everyone enjoyed the food. It was excellent. I was surprised how good the zucchini and blueberry donuts were. Love this will different visit again .. the dog trainer
