Our server was so sweet and patient. The food however.... The rice was definitely old, the beef fajita for my puffy tacos was leftover that was cooked to a crisp and the crispy tacos were soggy... Oh and I asked for no beans and my puffy taco had some beans on the side of it due to accidentally placing beans on the plate and then removing the beans. It does have potential but I felt as if they just did not care today.P.S. way overpriced for the quality of food. I'm sorry but I'm very disappointed in my meal.

I stop here often when going from Houston to S. Tx for work. Salsa is delish and the green enchilada plate is awesome.

Soooo - I saw good things on Yelp for this restaurant, and it was around 1/2 way between San Antonio and Houston, which was the perfect location to meet family for lunch. When we arrived, it was St. Patrick's Day / Sunday at noon. The place was packed. The only tables were in the corner - which was fine. We waited for someone to seat us, but they never came - so we sat ourselves. We waited for about 10 mins for someone to come and get our drink order, bring chips and give us a menu. We decided on the best enchiladas verdes in honor of the day, a steak fajita salad, and an order of cheese enchiladas. We waited about 10 minutes for our server to come with our drinks (tea all around) and to take our orders. Then... we waited about 20 minutes for our food. Are you catching a theme here? The service is sub-par at best... BUT - the food was decent overall. Steak on the salad was a bit leathery, but the enchiladas were a hit. The salsa was really tasty, and the tomatillo sauce was fair at best. I'd go back, but I'd go only knowing that I need a lot of time... and that I need to order the food enchiladas.

Highly recommend this gem. Delicious breakfast tacos! We had bacon and egg, chorizo, and potato and egg tacos with red salsa.Appreciate the atmosphere, fun decor, and clean bathrooms.

Food was good. I had a fajita chicken burrito and my husband had tacos. My burrito was huge. Best Mexican rice I’ve ever had, very flavorful. Atmosphere could use a makeover with a bright colorful mural or a simple Mexican style paint job. Will definitely eat there again but I think I’ll order take out instead of sitting in and staring at plain walls. The banging door to the bathroom was a little annoying too. A simple spring add on would fix that.

I'm sure the locals are use to their food. But I'm from San Antonio and any Mexican restaurant can make a good Bean and Cheese taco. We were on our way to Houston and my 3 year old granddaughter wanted a bean and cheese taco. So this was the first place that popped up. Took almost 20mins total in and out for a almost $4.00 for 1 bean and cheese taco. My granddaughter took a small bite and refused to eat the rest. I took a bite and I understood why. I don't know if the cook is the Owner or family member of the owner, but you guys need to get RID of that COOK. Refried Beans are the cheapest and easiest thing to make. Don't get me started with the greasy half cooked flour tortilla.

I liked my quesadilla, but the guac to quesadilla ratio was small. With that said, I do recommend stopping here if you're driving through and want a bite to eat.
