We used to order carryout fish and chicken dinners from Pop's weekly. The quality of the food has steadily deteriorated. We rarely order there anymore. We tried the chicken tonight and it was terrible. Overcooked, dried out and very little meat. We ordered the ten piece dark. It consisted of two inedible thighs and eight barely edible legs, a small order of fries, a small order of green beans and rolls. It cost over $26. We won't be going back.

I ordered a dinner to go. One of the veggies that I order was fried okra. I decided to eat the okra on the way home. I was less than a quarter of a mile from Pop's. My okra was cold and hard. I was also charged an extra 55 cents to use my debit card. I was not told of the fee before paying and did not see a sign that said there would be an extra fee. They also had chicken spaghetti, which I would have gotten had it not looked more like chicken noodle soup because of all the liquid in it.
This place as gone down the drain badly. My grandfather and I used to go frequently when I was a child. So today, I decided to take my kids for the first time. We walked in & stood to order our food. IMMEDIATELY the chick who took our order started off with a ride ton of voice. I decided to be the bigger person and let that go UNTIL we got too checkout. The chick told me the total of my order, then I ended up being charged more then what she said the total was. I noticed and asked why and all I was told was "it's credit card fees". I understand that they don't have control over the fee that it charges, and I don't mind paying but the whole reason I got upset was due to the fact that it was not mentioned until AFTER. Also, I had to have them remake my ONE year olds food because they brought my baby's food burnt and it chipped his tooth 😭. DO NOT RECOMMEND🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑 they have been reported as well.

This is something I never do. Really DISAPPOINTED...... I purchased on 8/30/24 400pcs of chckn 10gal of corn and mashed potatoes w/gravy for competitive price. On 9/14/24 I added an additional 50pc for same order with a $300 increase. When asked why so high. I was told they didn't charge me for 3gal from previous order on the 30th. We negotiated $100 more from the previous order on the 30th. I was short nearly a 100 pcs of chkn(old and dry). Shortage on vegetables and rolls. Very disgusted with this type of service. I will never trust this business for a catering ever again.

I ordered a piece of fish and a chicken leg just to taste it. I asked the young lady if I was getting real "catfish" and she told me yes; however that was not catfish but swai. The chicken leg I ordered had absolutely no seasoning what so ever. I'm glad I didn't buy a whole plate of food.

I've loved this fried chicken, but the chicken I got Friday,Sept. 6, 2024, was old, dry, the coleslaw was old and turning bad. I've never had bad food from this place, I'm very disappointed. I'm on a fixed income, so it's rare that I can afford to buy my chicken, but I will go elsewhere next time. I won't waste my money for bad food. I bought 8pc dark with sides.
