Total hidden gem! Liberty Cafe has a wonderful hometown vibe where everyone knows everyone. My buddy (who knows his burgers) told me this was the best he’s ever had, and the Liberty Burger did not disappoint. The food is top-tier and the staff makes you feel right at home. Local spots like this are the backbone of these towns—do yourself a favor and make the trip out here.

Terrible Service!!
We traveled from Laredo, Texas to have their great tasting burgers, only to be disappointed with the horrible treatment!!
Just left restaurant! We walked in and were greeted by the waitress saying to us, “ you all can sit but don’t have time to clean the table!”
I guess they only have good customers service when the place is empty not full like today…

My husband and I were just passing through, staying the night in Freer Tx, when we happened to check out The Liberty Cafe for dinner. Can't find anything bad to say! Great food, great service, great prices! If you're ever passing through and need to stop for a bite to eat, this is the place!

Every time my dad wants to visit his property out here in south Texas we always stay in freer. He loves the big burgers here as they are big and hot and freshly made. The issue primarily is time. Order over the phone 20 miles away coming in from my dad’s property and somehow the order isn’t ready yet in after 30 minutes on the way.
