You don't have many choices to eat in Freer, so it is fortunate that the town sports one of the great, locally owned cafes in Texas. "Ya Ya's" homestyle burgers is one great burgers as are the fresh peeled and sliced fries (ask for them instead of the frozen fries). That is what I get every visit on my way to Houston or Laredo. But the working class ranch hands and oil field workers order the Mexican dishes most often. Great place to stop on HWY 59!

Driving through going to Laredo. Stopped by for lunch. I had the homemade burger and my partner had the Mexican plate. Food was delicious, the burger was huge and very tasty. Our server was very courteous and friendly. Definitely recommend stopping by.

Food was great & service was amazing! Passing through & stopped in by recommendation from another prior customer & would definitely recommend it. Can't go wrong with the Liberty Burger! And the staff was so friendly, we almost felt like we were back home in mom's kitchen :-)
