Just went recently on March 1, 2025 which was a Friday night. Before that, I took my husband ( Army Veteran) on Veterans Day as we have never been to Fogo de Chao. This was for brunch. During that time, hands down was 5 stars! Everything was on point. Food was so good that we wanted to try again. With that being said, during our March 1 visit , meat was salty that we barely ate it. The first garlic steak bites and pichana that came out was good. The second time was salty. The pork was hard and salty. The chicken was hot and good. The strip steak was salty as well. The potatoes were cold and hard. The cheese was also and hard. I looked forward to eating them but was let down. I wanted to keep eating but just couldn't do it. I had to go back to the salad bar to eat more salad to drown the salt out. We had gotten the full charrasco experience. It was not a good experience. We paid $64 each for about 4 pieces of meat that was good. Not worth it. We were disappointed that we didn't get that full experience because we had to stop eating. We ended up going home hungry. We did tip our server because he and his team presented excellent service. I know I should said something while there but the staff was so nice and I just didn't want to create a scene with other guests dining beside us as well. Overall, kitchen just went heavy handed on seasoning the meats. I learn that if it is bland, it can be fixed but if it is salty, it can't be altered to make it better. That is food waste that could be avoided.

I had high expectations for Fogo de Chão in Clear Lake, but unfortunately, the experience was a huge letdown. For a restaurant that claims to be upscale, it completely missed the mark.

The biggest issue was the poor selection of meats and the lack of service. We were expecting a steady flow of quality cuts, but the servers barely came around with anything worthwhile. When they did, the variety was disappointing. Our table doesn’t eat pork, and despite telling the servers multiple times, we were still offered pork far more often than beef. It felt like they weren’t even listening.

The service itself was subpar. There simply weren’t enough servers bringing meat around, and when they did, it was at an unreasonably slow pace. For the price, the value just wasn’t there. If you’re going to charge premium prices, you need to provide premium service and a proper selection of meats—neither of which we experienced.

Overall, Fogo de Chão in Clear Lake completely failed to live up to its reputation. The lack of attention to detail, slow service, and poor meat selection make it hard to justify ever coming back. Definitely not worth the cost.

Not the outcome I was wanting. We’ve been to other locations around Houston including other Brazilian steakhouses and I have to say this is by far the worst we’ve had. We went in to celebrate our anniversary and even noted that on the reservation. The waiter seemed too interested and distracted by the table next to ours. Can’t say it was busy because when we arrived it was only 2 other couples/families. While people began to arrive waiters were getting their tables sides/ bread and we were never brought any to our table. I had to ask. Other waiters were brining them as customers were going to the salad bar. Once I asked and they were brought out the bread (which is my favorite) was as hard as a rock and the mashed potatoes were cold and hard.

I over heard a few waiters ask if anything was being celebrated… we were never asked. They even offered a dessert on the house. Never did our waiter ask. I could have easily asked and brought it up but I felt that it was the waiter’s responsibility. I’m glad other waiters came around to ask if we were ok.. needed refills or if they can plates because our waiter never did. Now to pay the bill he dropped it off and disappeared for a good while… a waitress passed by and offered her help. Honestly $175 later but it wasn’t worth it. Very unsatisfied with this location.

Had a reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Service was horrible. Had to ask for everything. When the sides finally came out, the bread was harder than a baseball. We only got the chimichuri sauce lol.

At first I thought the waiter was new but he wasn’t.

Now for the food….kept asking for medium temperature and everything kept coming out way over cooked. Only once did we get offered picana and again had to keep asking for certain cuts. After everything I had to ask for my check twice and when it finally came out I had to then ask a whole different server to help me close my tab. Sad part is that my wife and I were at least expecting the question, “ are you celebrating anything”? And nope not even that. Super bad experience. And yes I feel the need and the right to say something. If you’re paying good money you should get top notch service and food. Not even once did the manager come to our table to at least say hi or ask how everything was going.

*1/5 Stars - A Dumpster Fire of a Dinner*

We celebrated our 5-year wedding anniversary at Fogo and were thoroughly disappointed. The only positive was that our reservation was honored, but that's where the good ends and the bad to worse and beyond begins...

Our server was nonexistent, rushing us to order drinks without giving us time to review the menu. The seating area was dark, loud, and awkward. We were left wondering what to do next, as our server vanished like Ted Cruz during the freeze - GONE.

Drinks took over 45 minutes to arrive, with the manager citing an absurd excuse ("couldn't find straws"). The market table was unsanitary, and the process was unclear. When we finished eating whatever raw and burned chunk of fat my wife was disgusted by, we sat for 30 mins at least , waiting for someone to attend to us. No manager or original young lady.

The final insult was the exorbitant bill: $221 with tip. No complimentary dessert or apology was offered, just a hasty goodbye. Our special evening was ruined by Fogo inept service and overpriced menu.

*Avoid this place, especially for special occasions.
* unless you are maybe serving them papers for divorce with intolerable service.

We went at 5:45 on a Friday so it wasn't busy yet and it took the server about ten minutes to acknowledge us after we were given a table. We ordered our drinks and got the Churrasco special which is what almost everyone does. The drinks we ordered were Limonada and two wine samples. The drinks did not come for about twenty minutes. Then after my partner decided which wine to get, another ten minutes to get the actual glass of wine. The meats were really good and the servers were pretty responsive to the green vs red side of the cards. Overall my favorite thing was the candied bacon on the market table (I think that's what it is called.) I am not sure if they need more servers or better training for the servers but that was really the worst part of the visit. TL/DR: Food: great Service: Meh

Meat was insanely salty, burnt, cooked over well done, not a spec of pink in sight. They didn’t even bother asking what level of done you wanted, what you got was burnt. Funny enough the mash potatoes were very bland. Servers still offer food when you flip you card red. Place also smells unclean you know how the carpet smells moldy and rancid. Prosciutto at the salad bar was always empty. The salad bar was also very dark and impossible to see the food. Overall it felt like you were at a cheap buffet with fancy waiters. Servers were very nice however.
Edit: after going to another brazilian steakhouse I have come to realize how unacceptable the experience was and have changed the rating to reflect the difference in quality. I would highly recommend trying somewhere else even if it is a distance.

Lunch was on point and everything was awesome. The service from Avery was literally one of the best I’ve had at any steak house.

I'm convinced, since it's a single all you can eat price. They serve as slow as possible so that you get filled up before you eat very much

Our first time at Fogo De Chao and right when we got seated we received amazing service by Alexis the manager! She walked us through everything and made our visit memorable. The food was amazing and the service was the best! Will definitely come back.

Great meat selection, but side dishes were not so great. Our waitress did very poorly, but thankfully, Alexis was able to come in and save the day.
