The food was very delicious, we really enjoyed it. However, we had a disappointing experience with the hours. The store says it is open until 8:00 pm. We arrived at 7:10 pm and even called ahead to confirm. We were told they only take orders until 7:10 because the kitchen closes at 7:45 pm. On top of that, we were not allowed to eat inside and were told it was takeout only, even though it was still within the posted business hours. The food is great, but the hours and service should be clearer and more consistent.

Very bad service, and we always arrive an hour before closing and they don't let us eat inside the place. He says they close at 8 and they don't want to attend after 7. 👎

I'll just say up front, this is not about the food. the food is great.
HOWEVER... there are all of these unspoken "rules" about eating here, that frustrate me. The posted closing time is 8pm. But, if you arrive at 7:05 pm you will be promptly told that they're "only accepting to-go orders"-- likewise, don't come in at 7:30, they'll tell you, "we're sorry, the kitchen is now closed." It's SO FRUSTRATING... can you not just be actually open for all orders, to all customers, during your posted times?? I've been to other JLB locations and no one else has these "underground rules."

We have business on the north side of Houston about once a month and I always choose JLB Eatery up there for a quick dinner. I had no idea we had one in Friendswood! So we went the other night and it was just as delicious. The bread on the burgers is light and airy not heavy and dense. My husband always orders the Steak Melt and he loves it. We split the chili cheese waffle fries and I couldn't get enough. They were really good. It was $33 for the 2 of us and we'll definitely be back.
We came here on a whim and wanted to try something new. Everything was DELICIOUS. The wings were crispy but tender, the ranch was amazing, fries had good seasoning! And best of all, good music. Will def be coming back!

I’ve heard great things about this place. Friday night take the family out to go try it. We walk through the door at 7:10 with a sign on the door that says kitchen is closed at 7:45. The guy at the counter tells us they are only accepting to go orders. I’ll give red top my money instead.
