We tried this restaurant out during back to school. When they had a boohoo brunch, the service was wonderful and welcoming. Returned this last weekend to have a family dinner. Once again The food was delicious AND our server Alicia was wonderful, The food came out hot and time. We weren't rushed also, Alicia gave us great food and drink recommendations. It's just a lovely local spot with great amazing food.

I was asked to choose a spot for a lunch meeting to discuss how RESC-Real Estate Supporting Communities works. This restaurant is conveniently located right across from my office, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. Great service, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff made sure we were all taken care of. Definitely a good spot to go for casual meals and professional meetups. Highly recommend!

Came in here for the first time a few weeks ago. This place has great food friendly staff. Leslie was great she's very friendly customer service oriented made sure I was taken care of. Definitely would recommend this place and if you sit at the bar ask for Leslie.

This is our 5th or 6th time here and it’s always delicious, but today was excellent. I had the stuffed avocado for dinner and it was beyond excellent. Reminded me of my first one years ago in corpus. This one was just as good. It will be ordered again. Also the Escondido fashioned is EXCELLENT! This place is a must if you are in the area. Love it. My wife loves it as well. The nachos are great

If you’re craving authentic Mexican food, La Escondida is a must-try! I had the beef fajitas and the carnitas plate, and both were absolutely packed with flavor. For appetizer we have the Queso Fundido with Chorizo, OMG you must have to try it. The beef fajitas were tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned – served sizzling hot with all the fixings. The carnitas were just as impressive – crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and full of that slow-cooked, rich taste. Portions were generous, and the service was friendly and fast. Definitely one of my favorite spots for Mexican food in town!
