Went in to dinner with my son friday 3.28 and was charge 2 times and not even the same amounts. Be careful or you will be paying for someone else's meal.

Service was just horrible

I had called in my dinner for pickup, was told it'll be 10 to 15 minutes & when i arrived for pickup 20 minutes later
I was told my order hadn't even been placed and the girl who was taking care of carryout orders was clueless on everything she didn't know nothing and went to call manager but never returned and the host was just as worse not even trying to help. Never ever again will I come here.
This was my 1st time here and will be my last time.
Save your time people. It ain't even worth it.
Your staff gotta do better.

My wife and child absolutely love crawfish, so much that we were at HEB earlier doing our normal weekend grocery shopping. While exiting, we picked up 5lbs of their crawfish- HEB has a scale right by the register so you know with certainty you’re getting what you paid for.

We ordered a 5lb bucket here at Alan’s Swamp Shack and were quite shocked to see their rendition of 5lbs! I’d say we’re looking more like 3-3.5lbs, with some potatoes and corn to give an impression of volume. We ordered another 5-lbs and received even less. Here’s a photo of the 2nd bucket, and in all fairness, my girls have eaten probably 6-8 crawfish each when this photo was snapped. For “kicks and giggles”, I’d challenge anyone to bring in their own food scale and bring that out AFTER the crawfish has been served. In fact, if we ever come back (IF…), I’ll be bringing a scale and will happily share the results.

I could gripe to the manager, but (a) I’m not “that guy”, and (b) it’s $7.99 a lb- not worth the effort. 😁

Didn't see server much. She seemed to always forget something, even if it was the only thing she was bringing. Shrimp was overcooked, so they didn't eat. It was pretty expensive for an "ok" review. Do better. My grandson loves the crawlfish and the alligator

Food & service is great, but I wish I could give this entire establishment zero stars for allowing animal cruelty! They have a live alligator in a TINY tank on display as you walk in. This poor animal has absolutely no room to move and was told by one of the employees it is never let out and stuck in the tank 24/7. It is clearly in distress. It truly is a shame & a very sad sight to see. I could not return knowing this restaurant allows this!

We frequent the Kemah location and have always enjoyed the food and environment, but decided to try the Baybrook location for the first time. Unlike Kemah, the "spicy" personal boiled pots had little spice and NO boil juice. Quite disappointing for the prices paid. The chicken cheesesteak was the oddest form of the sandwich with chicken cut more like fajita meat than sliced thin for a traditional cheesesteak. That, along with the chicken, onion, and sparse amount of cheese, left little taste and was quite bland; not moist at all.
We may return to give the restaurant another chance but not likely anytime soon.

We went there for some boiled crawfish and shrimp,,, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE CRAWFISH NASTIEST CRAWFISH I'VE EVER HAD THEY WERE SO TINY, I WOULD RATHER PAY MORE FOR BETTER QUALITY. It was out first time there we wanted to try it for my birthday dinner. Bad choice.

Walked in on a late night and they were very dead. The hostess at the front who is Hispanic with curly/wavy hair with glasses needs to be retrained on what it means being a hostess and the first face a guest sees when they enter the company.

We walked in and said “hello” and she literally turned around and started to clean menus instead. Didn’t smile, didn’t acknowledge us, didn’t greet us— it was the most unwelcoming and strangest thing I’ve ever seen. We thought it was a prank! We waited over five minutes to be sat on probably one of the deadest nights they’ve had.

Multiple servers walked by and stopped and still no help. The only server who did say hi and try to seat us stopped the second we said we preferred a booth and he stated “oh I don’t have a booth in my section” and simply just walked off leaving us there, instead of trying to help us be sat or get someone who can help us. Meanwhile the hostess is turned around watching out interaction and STILL not seating us. Mind you, it was only me and my husband. That’s it.

So we turn around and leave. It’s now past five minutes and we simply turn around to leave, and a manager sees us and finally sits us. We had Alyssa, she was amazing. Great service.

Upon leaving the same hostess is upfront at the stand and on her phone listening to her social media videos loudly. She looks up at us, we smile and say thank you, and she does and says NOTHING and proceeds to look back down at her videos.

It was the most unwelcome I’ve ever felt at a restaurant. We truly thought we were suppose to seat ourselves or were being pranked because how can you full on see us and turn around and then ignore us for over five minutes and only step back to the hostess stand once you see us finally walking away to leave? It was just SO crazy this young lady is who is upfront and the first impression the guests see.

We probably won’t be back just because we felt so uncomfortable and unwelcomed unfortunately due to this hostess, but Alyssa was amazing and 10/10 service. I truly hope the hostess upfront gets a good retraining on her job duties. Never gone to a restaurant and felt like I was a problem for simply being there.

The crawfish is $9.99/lb for take out and is NOT worth it. The flavor is seriously lacking (hot and spicy), the crawfish are small and had a funny taste. The lbs in crawfish is made of mostly corn and potatoes. I should of just waited to the weekend for H‑E‑B.

The crawfish was very small and it didn't have no taste. The food took long to come out and they missed so many orders. And they put my food on a garbage lid and everybody else was complaining about the food don't come here

I ordered boiled shrimp. They were good but seemed like they weren't boiled in seasoning. My wife ordered crawfish and she said they were good just really small. The service was good and loved the atmosphere.
