The food is Okay its not terrible but it's not the best that I have had. One dish the fried green tomatoes was excellent but they took this off their menu. I tried the barbecue shrimp and it tasted more like a Gumbo Rue than Barbecue. Really didn't like it.

The food was soooo good and so were the cocktails. I had a blueberry martini, and I will definitely be back for more. I tried oysters for the first time there, and I was pleasantly surprised. They looked great and were so flavorful. I also tried the Cajun deviled eggs and the BBQ shrimp appetizers, and they were both super delicious. My entre was the bayou pork ribeyes. They were so juicy and the jalapeño sausage and crawfish on top made them even better. I can't wait to go back!

The food was superb, with a great atmosphere with the sound of jazz music and an excellent waitress. Let's not forget they have the best lemon drop cocktail. I will definitely be back.

I am from New Orleans, and very dubious about trying restaurants that claim to be New Orleans food.Rouxpour made me feel like I was in New Orleans. The chargrilled oysters were so delicious. We got the traditional and the Rockerfeller and they were both amazing. For entrees we ordered stuffed flounder and red snapper. The crab stuffing in the flounder had the right amount of flavor, and the crawfish, crab and avocado sauce on the red snapper was delicate, creamy and every bite was a delight. Finally, the chocolate cake was creamy and decadent, and the bananas Foster was a joy for the mouth!Last, but certainly not least, was our server Andre! He was attentive, informative and just a great server. Thank you Andre for making our anniversary lovely.

Fun Saturday night with great friends to listen to another of our friends play in their band on the lawn, TBFP-The Black Friday Project. The service was impeccable. Our server was engaging, but not too much. Made sure our beer, wine, and my cocktails did not run out. Everyone's food was absolutely delicious! Not a single complaint from the four of us. No problem with separate checks, & we did not feel rushed. Two of us split a 1/2 dz oysters Rockefeller, a little pricey, but very yummy! I enjoyed one of their specials, a Ribeye topped w/shrimp, crawfish, & garlic butter. Mardi Gras potatoes, asparagus w/ slice of toasted French bread. I would have preferred more crawfish tails in the sauce, there was only a few. Nice little, thin slices of garlic in the sauce too, I love garlic and spread the slices on my bread so good! I brought home leftovers, a good size portion I can't wait to eat for lunch or dinner today. We made a reservation on open door since it was Saturday night. Go soon, Do it, you'll enjoy yourself.

I have been here multiple times and have never had a bad dish. From apps to desert, everything is delicious. Definitely try the gumbo! Service is also top notch. One of my favorites!

Rouxpour near Bay Area Blvd is very overpriced, and the food was not seasoned at all. I ordered the Oyster Rockefeller (12) as an appetizer and the steak special, which was the Filet Mignon with a Shrimp and Crab Cream Sauce atop Asparagus (no beverage). The steak was cooked perfectly, but everything was very bland (ni seasoning)!!! I also ordered a dessert to go, and when I checked it, someone had already taken a noticeable fork full out of the cake, and there was one tiny mint leaf on top of the cake. The replacement cake provided to me had a raspberry surrounded by three small mint leaves and was intact, which led me to believe the first cake was someone's leftovers!!! My total bill for the three items mentioned plus a side of loaded mashed potatoes was $158+!!! The meal and service received during my visit, especially my two interactions with the unaccomomodating manager, was not worth the price!!! Signed, A very unhappy first-time customer!

Excellent service, food was delicious. I asked what bourbons they had and they brought out a three ring binder! My kinda place! Monogrames ice too in the old fashions (forgot to take a pick) and the bread pudding was to die

Went after my nephew's choir concert with my Mother. We wanted seafood and were interested in trying somewhere new and this place came up in my restaurant search nearby. We were pleasantly surprised by how LARGE the bowl of gumbo was and it was delicious. We had a server named Sophia and we came an hour before they closed - she was pleasant and insightful about our options. Ladies room was clean and stocked well, the hostess promptly sat Us.

Came out tonight to celebrate my partner’s birthday. When I say this was an amazing experience, that’s an understatement. As soon as we got there, we were seated in the perfect spot. Our waiter Tony was fantastic from start to finish. We didn’t have to ask for anything and he was very polite and attentive. The food was superb. I had the chicken and sausage gumbo to share and the zydeco chicken as my entree. Finished it off with the chocolate cake. This place is underrated and we will be coming back. Thanks to all who gave us a fantastic experience.

It’s an ok Cajun restaurant. It’s not bad but it’s not great either. The ambience is nice and the service is good but all in all I’d give it a 5 out of 10

As typical, I refrain from a rating when I enjoy something that I believe too good to have a second time consistently.Now- I write with double the enthusiasm. The first serving of the Bayou Pork Ribeyes was palette smashing to a degree I didn’t believe it. I seriously craved the dish for months. I made the 40 mile drive again- and service was amazing, and the dish was absolutely the crave crusher I needed.I’ll hit the sides first- the asparagus was great size, prepared perfectly al dente, and soaked up the crawfish cream sauce as my first intro to the main entree. The truffle fries were salty and soft sweet internals with a crunchy skin exterior.I saved the buttered toasted bread til the end when I could bulldoze it through the cream sauce as desert. The pork. Holy smokes. Grilled to perfection. That fire taste just on the outside of the chop, the salty creamy blend of crawfish and andouille. Simply mouthwatering. Temperature a balanced medium well- still soft to the tongue. And while I didn’t have room for the desert, I did take a forkful of the banana foster bread pudding duo the family shared. Be careful- the bread pudding is served straight out of the oven. It was lava. The caramel and banana were soft and paired so nicely with the vanilla bean ice cream.Highly recommend. Twice over.If you’re lucky enough to get an order of the three seafood empanadas to start with- even the kids ate and wanted a second. The salad served on plate was so delicious with the pickled onion slices.

Give TANYA A RAISE!MY mom and I enjoyed our lunch yesterday as I have been a customer of your Katy location and was initially impressed. As a Creole person, I take my gumbo seriously and this place will not disappoint. The roux is delicious and has the perfect chocolate color with huge chunks of jumbo lump crab, andouilli sausage, shrimp and perfectly cooked rice. Our cocktails were also great and I only needed one, which was perfect. My mom ordered the IRISH COFFEE ☕, I got the CHOCOLATE MARTINI ?.Give the bartender a raise also! When I was seated, the hostess has to take my Stanley Cup to their host desk, not sure the policy but when we left she made sure to return it to me and I had forgotten!
